DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Melbourne Beach Oceanfront

The property was ok overall. It was disappointing and wrong for there to be a charge to self park in an open parking lot. We have stayed in many hotels in our lifetime and expect to be charged for valet parking, but being charged for self-parking in the hotel parking lot should not happen.

Pool area is well kept up. Has a great sunning deck. Beach access is easy and clean. Has a snack bar where you can order food and drinks while you sit at the pool or beach. Room was very clean and spacious. Had a beautiful view of the ocean. Sat outside on the balcony and drank my coffee every morning. Everyone is friendly. Loved you could watch rocket launches from where we were at.

Great location. Hotel is older and a little worn in places but clean. Despite asking, no housekeeping for our room.

Very good

This hotel staff was very helpful overall. Unfortunately, upon check-in a staff member advised me that I would have a $30 beverage credit per night. I happily used this credit while staying there and when I went to check out, I was told that the credit did not apply because I had booked through a third-party. Staff kindly facilitated a room change as my air-conditioning was was making noises. Overall, I would stay here again.

The ice machines were broken on every floor of the North side, so we had to walk to the South side or front desk for ice. I was also incorrectly charged for parking even though I had no vehicle; thankfully, the hotel agreed to remove the charge. The pool and hot tub were dirty, with what appeared to be mold around the hot tub and small foam-like particles floating in the pool. The entire area needed a serious power washing. The outdoor beach shower was also broken, leaving guests without a proper way to rinse off. Overall, the location and staff were great, but the housekeeping, cleanliness, and maintenance issues need serious attention.

This was our first time staying at this property. Overall, the room was just okay. Unfortunately, the microwave did not work properly, and the mini fridge never really got cold. On a positive note, the staff was very attentive, friendly, and accommodating, which we truly appreciated. While we enjoyed the attentive service, I’m not sure if we would choose to stay here again.

The convenience of being so close to the wedding venue and the location on the water front amazing. We had a small glitch in the first room and management accommodated us into a new room immediately. Thanks for the warm welcome and making our experience a great one. Only thing we were concerned about is the lack of handicap parking, we had to park a long way away from the side of the hotel we were staying at because all the handicap spaces were taken. And also charging us $18.00 a night for parking.

Superb

the water pressure was very poor in the shower. i dropped my soap bar in the shower that i brought from home, and when i picked it up, there was large chunks of sand all over it. we didn’t go to the beach at all in our one night stay. also when we woke up the next morning, the toilet wasn’t working. just because there is a beach view does not mean you can slack on other qualities. not good enough to pay over 200 for just one night
