The property had a very bad smell The receptionist was very rude at check in, the bathroom in my suite wasn’t cleaned, both rooms smells like smoke and dog

Good

It was nice Room was moldy/ musty. The sheets felt wet it was so humid. It stunk, the air quality was terrible. We did move rooms day two. Way too expensive for a hotel room I would not stay in again if you paid me to stay in. Other rooms were similar. We had 3 rooms

Hubby loved the breakfast food. I loved the location. It was very easy to get to our destination. Dinner choices were very close and convenient. The size of the room was perfect for us. The parking was tight. It looked like there was only 1 lot with maybe 12 parking spaces. You have far more rooms than that. I also saw a bug coming out of the closet.

The location for my event was near by The front desk manager was very rude. There was a customer in front of me and other gentlemen was also waiting, so I ask him are you in line and he replied yes. Once I said that to the gentlemen the front desk informed me that I need to stay to the side. While waiting the front desk ask her if she was a Hilton Honor member she replied she is not, the front desk gave her a bag with water and cookies. Then the next customer came up the desk, he got upgraded and also was given a goodie bag. Then I came up to the desk, I had 3 rooms got checked in and requested my goodie bag and she replied back to me that is only silver and gold members can have water. I will never stay at the Merrillville Hampton inn. They way I was treated was very unprofessional and I was very respectful. If I was alone, I would have canceled the room and slept in the car but had my whole family here to attend my grandmother funeral. I am serious considering to never stay at a Hilton property. If you want to discuss this in detail, please reach out.

Very dirty hotel,it doesn’t worth 200 dollars a night…definitely stay away from this hotel

They are being renovated so expect some issues
-
The bathroom was full of mold and rotting wood. The floors were so sticky, your feet stuck to them. The room was plain and furnished with old furnishings. Many of the outlets did not work.

There was a sign about construction but we didn’t see any. Room on first floor. Dirty halllways. Door frame not stable when we opened door and it didn’t close without force. Very heavy fragrance beyond cleaner smell that seemed to be masking odor. Furniture old (70’s-80’s), scratched up, not clean and pulled away from walls. Looked behind and there was heavy dust build up from not cleaning. Found bug in bed second night. Would have left then but late and nothing available. Have been a Hampton Inn customer for more than two decades but will never again assume they are a safe, clean option. So disappointed that my reliable go-to is no longer reliable. Stayed at a Holiday Inn the night after and will use them going forward.

Just not a place I would stay again. I’ll never stay again ….. 0 stars …. Sorry!

Im a carpenter, & the hall was not safely contained for guests, wires hanging from the wall, drywall dust not vacuumed up, Never again

Is good

The hotel was under major renovation and there were signs all around for that. The carpets were dirty and run down. The room was just clean enough but needs major upgrades or maintenance. Properties under renovation should be marked on their website and Hotels dot com App so I won’t select them.
-
Property is old and in need of updates. They had a sign posted saying that they were renovating. Breakfast was adequate but more limited than I expect from a Hampton.
-
Under renovation which was not mentioned when I booked. We ha a renovated room which had the old damaged furniture. Low quality for the price.
-
Worst Hampton Inn we’ve stayed at, dirty carpet, halls, and stairways smelled like weed. Breakfast was good
-
Under construction at present. Room is outdated and worn. Two different ice machines not functioning. Breakfast offering were sparse.

It served its purpose. The bed and pillows were nice. The morning staff was pleasant. I cant say the same about the night shift. We will not stay here again, nor would I recommend a stay at this Hampton Inn.
