The facility was new and clean with a comfortable bed and good sized shower. This B&B is basically you are on your own. Mimi, the very friendly host, makes arrangements via WhatsApp, greets you, gives you codes for the facility and parking lot and then returns a few days later for your 10:00AM checkout. There are about 35 steps from the parking to the room we had on the second floor. I want to put this review in the context of our one month tour through Sicily. In general we found the B&B's wanting. Most were located in out of the way places and did not provide the level of service that you get with a hotel. In the future we will look to book hotels exclusively. Consider this when evaluating our review of Serendipity B&B.

The hostess was exceptional. Very kind and accommodating. Unfortunately, she wasn't around when we checked in and whoever was handling the phone calls, wasn't as pleasant. Parking issues. We were allowed to park in the gate after we called very confused about how to get into or where to go to park. Make sure you have booked or requested in her 3 parking stalls because there is limited street parking nearby (unless you're comfortable parking off road, they do have cameras outside to watch vehicles parked nearby). The hostess was by far the best part of the stay, one of our rooms was very nice and clean (the other was clean but had a horrendous smell). Breakfast was fine but nothing exceptional. There were pastries and the coffee was great. Very friendly hostess at breakfast. Nothing special for breakfast, just packaged pancakes and other pre-bought pastries. Location was not great, still had to drive about twenty minutes when leaving Messina and it was not in the best area (nothing walkable to do). One of our rooms had the strongest sewage smell imaginable and I got no sleep. I messaged about the smell but it's apparent they know it's a problem because they've put air fresheners all around it (which do nothing to help it). To sum up, one room was excellent and one was horrendously smelly. The location wasn't great for what we wanted to do and I couldn't stand the smell in my room, so I wouldn't stay again.

We stayed as an overnight stopover. The property is super clean, breakfast was good and substantial. The room was a good size and very clean. The host was great as he waited for us as he had an issue with the ferry coming from Calabria. Close to Messina city centre if you have a car. The stairs from the car park to the rooms, bit of a struggle with luggage.

Excellent B & B with modern and neat room. Very tasteful. Also a nice terrasse where one can take a good breakfast. Safe parking inside the premises. Surroundings are not so nice and a little far from downtown Messina, but once in the B & B it is a cosy place.

The B & B is very clean and well kept. Manuele, Anna and Francesco were very friendly and they serviced us in the best way possible. The beds are very comfortable and the room is very nice. Great for a central stay in Messina.

Serendipity was a lovely and quiet B & B. It was impeccably clean and neat and there was everything you could need to be comfortable. The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The breakfast area was lovely and perfect for your morning coffee and breakfast. But, the thing that really makes this place special is the owner, Mimma and her son. We had a mix up on the timing of checking in due phone challenges on my end. It was completely my fault and caused a bit of miscommunication. Mimma and her son, Emanuel could not have been more lovely and gracious host/ess. They made dinner reservations for us at a place they knew about and made our stay more lovely by their warm hospitality. I could not be more thankful to them. Not much to not like.

New, very clean and spacious. Very hi-tech. The staff is friendly. Distance from the city center. A little too expensive.
