Villa Caruso

The double room with seaside view was beautiful. Waking up every morning to a beautiful view of the sea was truly stunning. In the evening, the sunsets were truly exceptional. Waking up to the sound of the waves was magical. For 2 people, we found it to be the perfect little space with lots of space for luggage/bags. The bathroom is spacious, there is a mini fridge and a safe. The kitchen had everything you needed, water/milk/café/tea always available. The breakfast is nothing special- prepackaged croissants etc. but lovely to grab and go if you are in a rush. There are bars close by with freshly baked treats which I suggest instead. The beach is a short walk- down the road, down the lift and you are there! 15-20 min walk to the train station- be aware that if you are taking the EAV (local train) it gets very very busy as Napoli to Sorrento/Sorrento to Napoli is a very popular route for tourists and locals. Anytime of day we trained was packed. Give yourself time. Many local restaurants/bars in walking distance. The grocery store (Despar) is a 10-15 min walk away. Walking around the town is also very very lovely. (I truly suggest walking 25 mins to Annare’ restaurant. Best meal we had in Italy over the last two weeks travelling!) All in all- a wonderful stay, made some fellow Canadian friends during our stay as well. The views were just stunning. Grazie mille! Everything was lovely, other than our toilet seat that was broken, the prepackaged breakfast, and no hand soap everything else was stunning.

The view was incredible, the room was also very sizeable. There were a bunch of beach parties that you could hear the music of during the night. I don’t know what room is in the photos because it looks like none of the rooms have a balcony. The wifi wasn’t super great, couldn’t reach the bedroom so had to use phones in the living room.

Incredible view from balcony. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Location was good for trips to Naples (via train ) and Capri and Positano Via ferry from sorrento which was a 10 min train /30 min bus away. Train station was a 20 min stroll from the apartment. Herculaneum and Pompeii also easily accessible by train. Lovely beach and beach bars nearby. Host was really helpful and responsive to WhatsApp messages. Breakfast was mainly pre packed pastries, plentiful if on a tight budget, we ended up eating elsewhere after the first day once we found our bearings. Minor noise at night from beach bars but was quiet from midnight until morning traffic. No internal noise at all!

We got locked out of the bathroom on the last day we needed to check out. we missed our original train because we had to wait for the host to come and unlock the bathroom. The traffic in the area could get really bad. will be good if we have bus timetable to station available. We had to run to station a few times because we thought bus would come.

Great views of harbour. Spotlessly clean tile and marble. Breakfast of packaged sweets and processed cereals. Winter season heating chilly.

The property is in a prime location with stunning views The host was friendly and accommodating. The overall vibe of the place was warm and welcoming, creating a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere throughout our stay.

The view was just amazing. It’s to die for. Lido Metamare(the beach) was literally about 3-4 mins on foot and the train station was about 15-20 mins away on foot. The staffs were kind and helpful. Highly recommend ?? The bed was a bit too soft for me but I guess that’s just a cultural difference of preference. And if you have a huge luggage like anything over 24 inches, you’d be struggling going upstairs lol

Location was so relaxing Nothing!

It is only 20 minutes away from sorrento which is perfect. Honestly, it was better for us than staying in Sorrento as it is not very crowded and beautiful as much. I suggest renting a scooter too as it is very convenient to travel around. If you don’t want to rent a scooter or car, you can take a bus that passes directly next to the stay that takes you to sorrento. It is around an hour away from Napoli by train (including a 15 minute walk from the train station to the apartment) which is not very bad. The provide a cute breakfast too. There are plenty of good restaurants right below the apartment for a good dinner and a public/private beach for you to enjoy if you don’t want to travel far. In general, I would very much recommend this place :)
