Excellent location, really nice people. Street side room can be a bit noisy but this is to be expected.

It was a great location The photos did not show it to be as basic as it was

Great location, welcoming reception, beautiful building, strong shower My room smelled like a high school locker room. I opened a window thinking to air it out but when i went to bed determined it was the bed pillows that were the source of the odor. I took them off the bed and used my airplane neck pillow

The accommodation I received was in no way, shape, or form what was advertised on your platform. The photos and description presented on Booking.com clearly depicted a spacious, comfortable, and pleasant room. This representation was the sole reason I proceeded with the booking. Upon arrival at Casa BIS (382 Campeche, Mexico City), I encountered a completely different reality: a tiny, claustrophobic, uncomfortable room with minimal natural light whatsoever. The space was severely inadequate and bore absolutely no resemblance to what was shown on Booking.com. In addition to this serious misrepresentation, the property was extremely noisy and poorly insulated. I was assigned a room on the third floor, yet I could clearly hear loud noises coming from the first floor, including doors slamming repeatedly and constant disturbances. This level of noise made it impossible to rest and further confirms that the accommodation fails to meet even the most basic standards of comfort and habitability. This was not a minor discrepancy. This was a clear and unacceptable case of deceptive advertising. I was deliberately misled as a customer and provided with an accommodation entirely inferior to what was promised and paid for. I have stayed in Mexico City countless times over many years, in hotels, guesthouses, and short-term rentals of all categories. Never—not once—have I experienced such a misleading, uncomfortable, and disappointing situation. This reservation represents the worst booking experience I have ever had and has significantly damaged my trust in Booking.com as a reliable platform. Given the severity of this misrepresentation and the unacceptable conditions of the property, I am formally demanding a full and immediate refund of the total amount paid. This demand is fully justified, as the accommodation failed to meet the basic standards advertised on your website and expected by any reasonable guest.I expect Booking.com to take responsibility for the discrepancy. I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my recent stay, as the room I was provided did not correspond at all to what was advertised on Booking.com. Based on the photographs and description on your platform, I expected a room that was reasonably comfortable and adequately sized. However, the room I received was extremely small, very uncomfortable, and did not match the images shown on the listing. In addition, the room was excessively noisy, which made it very difficult to rest. This significantly affected the quality of my stay and fell far below the expectations set by the information provided on Booking.com. I believe the listing was misleading, and I would appreciate your review of this matter and an appropriate resolution. Thank you for your attention. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Maria Osterroth

Everything Nothing

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Fantastic location. Comfortable beds, great shower. Nice little coffee and tea set up in the morning with biscuits. The room was very snug, but also cozy.

Nice place and confortable Nothing

I loved the terrace, it’s easy to walk everywhere and you are near tons of very cute restaurants and attractions The only thing I didn’t like was you can smell the restaurant next door even with the windows closed, so it can be a bit much sometimes.

The room was cozy with a nice bed and nice big bathroom. It was within the centre of the area, with restaurants, tacos and bars very close to our room (5 mins by foot). The personnel were very helpful and kind and helped us a lot during our stay, They spoke very good English and replied fast through the booking app. I also liked the welcome place where you could prepare your breakfast and use the fridge. 24h reception also was a safety extra. Also, just outside there was place for parking or Uber/taxi call. I would like a fridge in the room, will make our stay more comfortable and easy. I think this was missing. Moreover, in 5 days of stay I would like a more often room service for towels and sheets, as they changed the towels only twice and sheets never during our stay. Although, we didn't ask them to do it, I guess if we had told them they would have helped us. Keep in mind there is no elevator in the hotel, but they say it clearly on their page so we knew it.

good location, safe, room is fine, good plugs and usb plugs, good lighting noise from street and late night restaurant if on the second floor

Staff, room and location was great!

Great location, great staff, very central to our exploration for the first time in CDMX

Great location, quiet room, and friendly staff. Our room had AC which I didn't realize when booking, so that was a nice surprise. The room, and particularly, the bathroom smelled bad. The hotel is trying to manage this, but something more than just air fresheners (which in my opinion kind of make things worse) is necessary. The bathroom was particularly unbearable. It smelled overwhelmingly like sewer gas. We were only there for one night or otherwise, I would have requested a new room. I have asthma and the smell was so strong I couldn't even go into the bathroom without wearing a mask. I've lived in big cities where sewer gas smells in bathrooms are an issue. I don't really know what you do about it, but this was the worst i've ever encountered. I really think the hotel needs to get this under control before charging guests to stay in those conditions. Otherwise, the hotel is a good value for the money!

Great location, super friendly staff, new bathroom, and nice and clean room/facilities. The room was very small. It was fine for a solo traveler but would have been tight for two people and their stuff

Great location, quiet street and building. The room was comfortable, nicely decorated, and the patio a great addition. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The power was off for the most part of the day, for two days in a row. All properties on that block were affected so it was not the hotel’s fault. Staff were very apologetic and adapted quickly, provided tea lights, coffee in the morning. The room was clean enough, but not spotless. Over a 4-night stay, the trash was emptied once, but no fresh linen/towels were provided, nor the room cleaned.

Location was good. The sinks didn't drain, the staff was surly and acted like they were doing you a favor. No breakfast although described as a B&B. WIFI was in and out all he time

The cleaning woman was pleasant and very accommodating and one of the people on the desk was nice as well, while another desk person was rather surly and unfriendly. The hotel rooms have some charm, and lovely windows, but they are very small.

The location was great. The people working here were all very nice and friendly. It was mostly clean where it mattered. The price is great for what it offers the daily cleaning was very good but overall it's a pretty beat up room I feel like.. The window didn't shut all the way in the bathroom and looked like it was hanging just barely. It's also pretty noisy in that I could hear people in other room's conversations and their coughing. People going up and down the stairs was horrendously loud. I'm usually ok with city noise but I think most people would be unhappy about it if they're from the suburbs or rural areas. It sounds like this might be typical for Mexico City buildings though? Idk. The bathroom shower didn't drain all that well so you're standing in about an inch of water which isn't very pleasant. The placement of the handle for the waterfall shower is a little silly bc you'll get soaked turning on the water which is minor. The bed wasn't that comfy but that always varies person to person, I just woke up in the middle of the night with my lower back hurting. It would be nice to have a stool in the single room to sit on when someone's got their outside clothes on.

Good value in Condesa, near cafes and bars and restaurants. Easy to walk to the metro (10-15 min) or Uber. Adrian and Victor at the front desk were super helpful! Rooms aren't super soundproof, but I think that seems par for the course for most of Mexico. Not a huge deal to me
