The Swift House Inn was a wonderful place to celebrate my friend’s 75th Birthday! From the moment we checked in with Rachael to our check out with Cassie it was perfect. Dinner at Jessica’s was excellent and so was breakfast. The staff was amazing, everyone we came in contact with was happy to assist with anything and they were sincerely happy to be there!

We thought the sit down free breakfast was a really nice touch! The whole property is super quiet and quaint. All in all very relaxing and very well done!! Only “complaint” was we were only in town overnight for our anniversary and it would have been nice to eat at Jessica’s. Unfortunately there wasn’t much to eat in town at all that was good on a Monday night. That’s not really there fault though, lol.

It wasn't clear to me upon booking that there are two separate buildings. The one where I stayed is a lovely old house, and very comfortable. However, the noise from traffic on the busy street made sleeping in past 6 am a challenge. The breakfast is a short walk up the hill to the main hotel property. Breakfast was wonderul.

We enjoyed learning about the history of the home and the area, and catching a glimpse of Griswald, the Official Inn Cat.

We enjoyed our stay. Breakfasts during the week were made to order and very good. Our room in the lower building was nice and light though a little noisy being on the Main Street. Overall, a really pleasant stay.

Great property that was former VT governors home. Very good food/restaurant. Gym and Suana pretty marginal. Pretty short walk to charming downtown area.

Amazing, pleasant, and dedicated staff, intake process was great, close to some great spots, breakfast was REMARKABLY good. We loved the whole experience and can’t say enough about it. Lovely grounds, room, amenities, etc. Sauna was an unexpected gem as well!

Room was clean and spacious. The property is not all in one building. We stayed at the main house but breakfast was served in the other house. Something to keep in mind. The service at the restaurant was good, and lots of breakfast option.

This was a great place to stay when visiting Middlebury for a campus tour. Our room was spacious for our family of 4 and we enjoyed a great breakfast the next morning before our tour.

The accommodations were very good, especially accommodating our dog which is difficult in the area. Nicely appointed amenities. The included breakfast was outstanding. The decor was classy but not pretentious. They admitted there was a stain on our rug and carpet replacement was pending. Lastly they prepared the sofa bed for son. Overall an excellent experience.
