Comfortable bed - clean room only issue was Keith at check in - he want to talk to us about politics and was definitely MAGA - he was wanted to regale us with conspiracy theories- the morning staff were wonderful and welcoming

Very nice in. And close to everything.

(we didn’t utilize) but plenty of people did! About a 10 minute drive to Thames street, perfect location. The gentleman at the front desk was lovely and very helpful in his recommendations. We would definitely come back!

The room didn't match the pictures posted on the listing and was not as nice as expected. The room is larger than an average hotel room but not enough lighting or seating. The front staff was helpful but the guy who checked us in took 25 minutes regaling us with stories and talking politics, not preferred after a long drive.

Friendly staff - clean room & linens - comfortable bed - nice grab & go breakfast. We’d stay here again!!

Great coffee! Jimmy Dean Breakfast sandwiches and a microwave oven? Seriously? $500/night?? We should have had a breakfast buffet!

Came down when there was till an hour and half left of the continental breakfast and it was all cleared up. Only a rotten banana was on the table.

That said, for around $600 a night, I expected the room to feel more polished and better maintained. There were several sections of flooring completely missing in our bedroom, leaving fairly large gaps in the floor. There was also dust and debris collected inside the openings. At this price point, having actual holes in the bedroom floor was surprising and definitely took away from the experience. The property also has a nice outdoor deck, but there is no shade and really nowhere on the grounds to comfortably sit outside with a cup of coffee. A few umbrellas, shaded seating areas, or another outdoor space for guests would have made a big difference, especially during the summer. The room was certainly large and comfortable, but overall it was just okay. For the price we paid, I expected a little more attention to maintenance.

Extremely good location and friendly staff.

The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. I already provided my reaction to the breakfast. First of all there was a general musty odor throughout. We received no housekeeping services until we stopped at the reception desk on the second day and requested clean towels. Because no one had entered our room, our bed was not made and coffee supplies not replaced. Nothing that we expected in the way of housekeeping was done. Secondly, we were appalled by the fact that breakfast consisted of breakfast sandwiches which had to be heated in the nearby microwave and various packaged cakes and bars. We found it unacceptable. I had brought a hair dryer from home, but when I attempted to use the provided one it emitted a burnt smell. Needless to say, I did not use it. We chose this Inn for its proximity to downtown Newport and for its quaint appearance online. Because we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary this past weekend, it was even more upsetting.

The pictures make this property out to be something much more than it actually is. When it was booked months ago, I was looking forward to it thinking it would be the nicest accommodations of the trip. It certainly was the most expensive. In fact, when we pulled into the lot, I commented "it looks creepy." Based on the cost of the room, I did expect more. The wifi was not working and that was a nuisance, the staff was unable to help out. The included breakfast had nothing we were interested in eating, but the coffee was good enough. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. The walls are paper thin and we had to leave the tv on to drown out the noise of other guests. It was close enough to the ferry for the Newport Jazz festival. Overall, I have to say I was disappointed solely based on the price we paid.

Such a quaint property with friendly staff. Breakfast options were pretty weak, so it was fortunate we didn’t choose the location for that purpose.

Property could use a face-lift for a more modern vibe. Worked great to our girls overnight.
