La Casuca de Mamina

Super friendly host , stunningly clean, comfortable bed , great quiet location for access to Santander Ferry. Nothing was wrong with property in any way , however as we stayed in the low season we struggled to find restaurants without further driving.

Our stay was excellent. We were travelling with dogs. The room was perfect for our needs. The hosts were warm and welcoming. The location was perfect and close to an excellent vet for the necessary worming treatment. We couldn't have wished for anything more. Will definitely stay again. There was absolutely nothing negative about this property

We liked everything from the warm welcome and the room and breakfast was superb. There was just one thing we felt we should say and this has been the case in a lot of places we stayed. In this case it was the bedspread and patterned cushions that matched. They did not smell at all clean. I appreciated people use the cushions when perhaps lying down to read but we took them straight off the bed and my husband could smell them in the room. The bed linen itself and the towels were beautifully fresh We were only there for one night and the couple were lovely but this must be addressed as it is very important. I would have given full marks to everything and am sorry to have to write this See above

The place was very clean and nicely maintained. Even though the owners speak no English, we managed to use Google translate to fill in the gaps. Breakfast was great and well priced. The backyard has some nice fig trees, and overlooks the hilly countryside. The building entrance could use a sign.

New, comfortable and clean. Great garden outside. Friendly and quick check-in. Pet friendly! A lot of dogs in the village barking all night long (guests’ dog do not help I guess). Nothing to do or to see in the village. No dinner options in the hotel. Unclear if breakfast available and/or included in the price.

The host was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful wall of windows with nice view. Very updated. I only was there a brief time so can’t comment on breakfast. Location is away from town center, very large and bright outdoor lights at night

The hotel was very well decorated and clean. Breakfast was excellent and a reasonable price. Lovely location with a car park, easy accessibility to Santander Ferry and ideal stop over.

From the moment I arrived at La Casuca de Mamina to when I checked out the care and service I received, was top class. The breakfast was delicious, too. I received very personal attention throughout my stay.

Superb breakfast,plentiful and freshly cooked,wonderfully clean and fresh throughout, beautifully decorated, wonderfully friendly staff nothing is too much trouble,totally unspoilt area of northern Spain, fantastic beaches, good walking and cultural sites to see. The place was fantastic, the room really big with amazing views, super clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They upgrade us to a larger room so we could be more comfortable as we were travelling with two children and two dogs. Breakfast delicious and great value. We will book again no doubt. Thanks! The hosts are super welcoming, and breakfast is great - you really feel like you’re being hosted by a family. It was all great, just a minor thing is that it’s a bit noisy in the morning - as the breakfast room is right below the rooms, same for the stairs.
