Hotel Dover

Hôtel bien placé dans la ville pour permettre de découvrir le centre historique à pied ou via les transports en commun. Personnel agréable, chambre climatisée (trés agréable en période de canicule), salle de bain propre mais petite. Petit déjeuner restreint et produits laitiers laissaient à l'air ambiante et donc qui se réchauffaient rapidement

The breakfast was decent, i prefer to have also eggs and cheese for breakfast. The room did not have a fridge.

The location it's very good, everything it's close enough It has a weird smell, it's not necessarily bad... but it's noticeable, especially every time you come back to the hotel

Clean, some of hotel staff were so helpful and kind. Noisy, had a hard time sleeping from noise on street to people staying there, walls are paper thin. I could hear people talking in next room- or if they were yelling etc. Some reception staff seemed annoyed that you were there.

Very nice and cozy place, location is really good, and the staff was super friendly. My wife especially liked the mattress and the pillows. It was a little cold in the night (we visited in December).

Very clean, staff super friendly, basic but tasty continental breakfast and good location. Very noisy outside, there's a couple of bars and restaurants etc. I would suggest requesting a room that doesn't overlook the street. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room and rooms were very basic.

The room was clean, the bedding and towels were spotless. The receptionist (the Brazilian fella, sorry, don't recall the name) was ever so welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. First we couldn't get the aircon going, so he came up to the room and got that running. Then I needed to mend a shirt, and he found me needle and thread. Very friendly and welcoming. Tea isn't an Italian thing, but he made sure I had a lovely cuppa every morning. Made the stay very pleasant. The room is small-ish, but you're in a really good location, so we felt it was good value for money. There is a tram stop 2 min walk from the hotel, and trams from there take you everyone you could possibly want to go, so very convenient. Neither liked nor disliked, but could be useful for other potential bookers. The continental breakfast is only sweet, not savory. There are delicious croissants (with sweet fillings or plain), little pastries, yogurts, cereal, cream cheese, fruit, and bread. But there is no cheese or cold cuts, so if you want something savory, you will struggle. Wasn't a problem for us, but worth mentioning. The shower is TINY. We were expecting small, but I couldn't close the door without being squished against the wall. There is also absolutely no place in the bathroom to put toiletries for one person, let alone 2. There is plenty of space for a shelf to the right of the sink or opposite the toilet. Similarly, there is one small hook in the bathroom; could do with a few more. Whilst shower is potentially down to the size/shape of the building, a shelf and hooks is such an easy thing to add/fix.

Exceptional

The staff(maybe owner!?) at reception was super kind!! Kind enough to let me check in earlier, and even offered me a nice coffee while waiting the room to be cleaned! (Even waiting time only 20min!!)

Location good Bathroom is small. Breakfast quality is average! No sort of protein at all! Makes it challenging for 1 week

Great location, 25 mins to Milan centre, 4 mins to the metro, lots of amazing restaurants and a lovely blues bar over the road. The property was great, we had the top floor with no lift, but the staff carried our bags up and down, and very friendly giving advice for buses, Trams, Metro and walking to the attractions.

Great location for the trams towards the Duomo and Naviglio Grande [great for food and drinks]. Very friendly staff...Alessandro and Jose. Well priced and good continental breakfast Nthg!

Superb

The staff, in special José, were really nice and friendly. The location is amazing, just a few minutes walking from many of the Milan sites (like the Duomo) and easy access to many Metro and Tram lines. And, nearby the hotel, there are many bars, restaurants, grocery stores, and much more. The only thing that bothered me was the shower box. It is a really tight space. I'm 6'2" tall and had a hard time to move inside it while bathing. But, that is expected from this hotel category. At the end, I figured a way to take a bath without broking the box doors. So, this wasn't a big issue.

The hotel staff were extremely accommodating - from directions, assistance, and attempting to meet our every need. The evening clerk even assisted us with luggage up the flight of circular stairs. My stay and later trip would have been much better if I hadn't tripped into the bathroom and broken a rib on the bidet. The bathroom floor was 8 inches higher than the bedroom floor. Both rooms (bath and bedroom) were cramped with little walking space. The shower was tiny and the hair dryer was probably ages old, but it did work. Breakfast consisted of pastries - not very healthy offerings.

We loved the Hotel Dover! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed: cold air conditioning, comfortable bed, exceptionally clean room. The street is charming with lots of restaurants and a market near by. We walked to the Duomo and museums- about a 20 minute charming walk but the street car is very close. The value for the price was very good. We would definitely stay here again. Very clean room. Quiet. Helpful staff. Breakfast included.

Great location, helpful staff. great wifi

Clean, comfortable, lovely room with balcony and shutters. Great staff who were exceptionally kind and welcoming. Nice breakfast too :) Fridge and safe in room didn't work but these were small details and didn't detract from the fantastic stay. Would recommend and would return.
