B&B Hotel Milano Cenisio Garibaldi

It was near transportation and short walk (30mins) through Chinatown to get to the city centre The walk from tram stop to hotel was a little sketchy but once inside it was great. Also had to ask for the air con to be turned on as it was controlled by the hotel. It stated 33 degrees in the room so stuck like that for two nights before we called to ask for it to be reduced down to 25!

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. A metro map is provided at reception, which is very useful for getting around the city. Another great advantage is that you can leave your luggage in the storage room both before check-in and after check-out. The hotel has a nice terrace on the 5th floor, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast is served on the 2nd floor and offers a good selection of options. Our room had a lovely view and included a mini fridge and coffee machine. Please note that the fridge is empty, but you can purchase water, drinks, and snacks directly from reception. The room amenities included shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion. However, cotton pads, cotton buds, and slippers are not provided. We also appreciated having a safe in the room and a coffee machine with complimentary coffee capsules, which was a nice touch during our stay. The hotel is conveniently located near Cenisio Metro Station. When you exit the hotel, turn right onto Via Messina and after approximately 3 minutes you will find the metro entrance. If you arrive at the airport, FlixBus coaches take you to the city center - Milano Centrale train station, from where you can easily reach Cenisio. However, the hotel is not within walking distance of the city center. To reach Duomo, we usually took three metro lines: M5 (purple line) from Cenisio to Garibaldi, M2 (green line) towards Centrale FS, and then M3 (yellow line) to Duomo. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes, depending on connections. Chinatown is about a 10-minute walk away. When leaving the hotel, turn left onto Via Messina and continue straight ahead. We really enjoyed this area, with its many shops, restaurants, and lively atmosphere. There is also a Carrefour Express nearby, offering fresh products and very reasonable prices. Overall, a great choice for anyone visiting Milan, with comfortable rooms, helpful amenities, and a convenient location. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One thing we did not particularly like was the area immediately outside the hotel. We noticed litter on Via Messina and overgrown grass between the tram tracks. This is, of course, not the hotel's responsibility, but it is a pity that the public area is not maintained more regularly by the local authorities. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained.

The only thing I didn't like that much is the breakfast. The food wasn't very tasty, there could be a few more options and the place felt small/crowded
