Hotel Sicilia

The host and all the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. There was a wide choice for breakfast and the quality of the restaurant food was excellent, it was so nice not to have to go out and find somewhere to eat. Definite recommend. There was nothing I didn't like. But be aware that the hotel is on a main road and trams go past quite frequently, although I don't think there were any overnight, and they didn't keep me awake.

I chose this hotel because of its last minute availability and proximity to the hospital. I believe i booked the last room and it was actually a large 2 room apartment with a very well equipped full kitchenette, a dining table, 2 large televisions and air conditioning. The bathroom was spotless with a rain shower and a separate hand spray, plenty of hot water and lots of towels. There were several beds and the one i chose was very comfortable. Unfortunately there is a tram that rumbles loudly by, right outside the hotel windows.

There is a tram stop not far from the hotel. The staff are very friendly. The bed is comfortable. Breakfast is included in the price and was quite pleasant: coffee/tea, yogurt/cookies, buns, candies, butter. The room left mixed impressions. The bathroom is uncomfortable: the toilet is almost right up against the shower cabin, so you have to sit on it with a straight back. When we turned on the large fan above the bed, a tied empty condom flew off it and landed right on my leg. The window is closed with shutters, and all morning we could hear someone in the next room taking a shower and talking. It was much too audible, as if they were right behind the wall.

The breakfast was just ok could do with a toaster so you could at least have coffee n toast cereal choice was just basic and the croissant didn't look fresh but the coffee was delicious oh yes and could probably do with a coat of paint in the room just to spruce it up There was no night porter and because my flight was delayed 2 hours when I got to the hotel it was all closed up luckily i managed to contact someone by phone otherwise I would have been stuck outside all night

The man, who works there is very polite☺️ Beautiful old Italian room. The hotel was closed, when we arrived. Unpleasant smell in the room. Breakfast was poor, but the croissants and coffee were nice. Cleanliness should be better.

Small family run boutique hotel conveniently located meters away from Niguarda hospital, offers quiet quaint comfy fully equipped rooms and amazing Sicilian food at the restaurant. Well served by public transport. Staff real kind and helpful, overall value for money excellent. Strongly recommended as best in class in the area.

We did not do breakfast here but the menu does not have any options. The reception told is they only have coffee and Croissants. We did not eat here. The connectivity is ok - you have M3 Metro (1 KM away) or tram station 350 M from hotel to reach to centre. 1. The room is very small you can barely keep your luggage and also move around. 2. The rooms are all road facing and tram route is barely 10 ft from the building. You hear the tram noise and feel the vibrations in the room

The room was a bit small, but we had everything we needed. For Italian standards, the mattress and pillows were relatively comfortable. The room was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful and they did their work with a big smile. It made us feel very welcome. The staff does not speak English and we didn’t speak Italian. We didn’t consider this as a problem though, because they really did their best to help us and inform us well. With Google Translate and some gesturing, we managed to communicate with each other. Breakfast was simple, but included and alright for us. There are croissants, yoghurts, marmelades, crackers, pie. In the hotel there is also a good-rated restaurant. We had dinner there, which was very good and not too expensive. Really recommend eating there. Not only for the food, but also for the very kind and enthusiastic staff. There is a secured parking lot available. Booking.com can be a bit unclear about this, but it costs €10 and it is preferred to book in advance. Good to know: We booked last-minute and paid (incl. parking) about € 100. For this price, the quality was good. If you want to visit the city center, the location is probably not ideal. We only used the hotel as stopover on our way back home. For this the location is good, since you’re close to the main roads. The rooms are maybe a bit noisy. We could hear quite some noise from our neighbors. I must say though: we only stayed one night, so it is a bit hard to tell whether it was just the neighbors being very noisy.

The stairs to go up to the room we're extremely uncomfortable, especially if you're carrying heavy luggage. The tram passes right in front of the hotel.
