Hotel Torifito Miyakojima Resort

The laundry was MAYHEM! Every floor has two laundry machines, all of them were full with line ups waiting. Several people leave laundry in the machines even when the cycle is done, and there are several people in a line waiting for their return. Also, all of our clothes came out soaking wet, and learned that this happened to others as well. Despite drying for three cycles, most of clothes were still wet.

Very convenient from the airport and rooms were spacious. Liked the pool view as well! Nothing

The room was very clean and super comfortable. The even got a shuttle to the airport.

The staff was very friendly and helped in any way they could. Thank you! The location close to the airport was amazing for me, but, it is far from the downtown area, so either take the bus (the stop is very close! But, depending on the bus you need and day of the week, you might have to wait up to 2 hours), or ask the staff to call a taxi (for me it was around ¥2500). Overall, I would definitely reccomend this hotel! I think the breakfast is decent. Not an amazing selection, but everything I tried was tasty. As a relevant note, a lot of the things for breakfast are only written in japanese; if you dont read japanese, maybe take a little bit and try it first and see if you like it.

Good

We stayed there for 3 days. We didn’t have International driving license because of which it was inconvenient to go to bus stop and travel. If you have rental car then it’s best to stay here. If you don’t have car then find a place near to regular bus stop which can take you to multiple places. But frequency of Buses are very few in Miyakojima. You need to plan properly. Hotel staff helped me out to get the bus tour. They were very polite and supportive. Cycle they should provide for free so that if anybody wants to go nearby to buy necessary thing they can go. It was chargeable for 1100/ 2hours

Parking fee

We stayed for 1 week but they only cleaned the room twice (even though we requested cleaning). They charge extra for the parking, but there is not enough parking in front of the hotel so you have to use a far away parking space and take the shuttle bus. Overall I do not recommend staying at this place.

Staff was so helpful and very friendly. They promptly provided what we needed and answered a lot of questions politely. They helped get us on the buses we needed. There were 2 places with the same address on the island according to my phone, so at first it was difficult to get there. They helped when I called, though. Some stains on the older carpet and it would have been better to hear about hotel ammenities/restaurant procedures, etc. upon check-in. I had to ask about everything. (though it was a very quick check in)

The room was big because it is a new hotel. It is also very near to car rental and the airport The room ventaliation was very loud! I could not slept the whole night and it was already late at 10m after checking in. Likely there was no check by the staff, i didnt had the same issue on the first night The room was not very clean, there was drip of soap in the bathroom too.
