HOTEL RURAL LA JOYUCA DEL PAS

I was tired and exhausted from walking in unusually high temp outside and the host welcomed me with a cold glass of juice and a bowl full of fruit. The host was very happy to help me with any concerns I might have.

Great location, right by the train station and a restaurant. Perfect for the Camino. Amazing owner! Tasty breakfast spread. Incredible value for great price.

Just perfection after a rainy day on the Norte Camino. Comfortable room, doggy snuggles, and such warm care from Laurie and her lovely staff. The food next door was generous and delicious, too.

La Joyuca went above and beyond to help me. I had a major delay in my trip and they were able to easily not only accommodate me but also made sure I had a proper welcoming. The place is gorgeous, the staff super chill and welcoming. If there was one think I could mention, it would be the rain. Unfortunately I couldn't get to know the property better so I will have to come back another day.

Wonderful stay. Excellent breakfast. Great staff. Woken up late at night from people upstairs. Could hear every footstep, sounded like they dropped a few things several times. Suggest staying upstairs, or telling people who stay there to be more quiet.

La Joyuca del Pas is conveniently located near the train station in Mogro with a great restaurant next door. It is clean, comfortable and a welcome respite on the Camino del Norte. The staff is welcoming and offers pilgrims a cold orange juice at check-in and will do a load of laundry for you. Drinks and snacks are available and Laurie, the owner, is very hospitable and willing to spend time (if she has it) talking over a glass of wine. The grounds are lovely as are the rooms. Beau the dog is friendly and enjoys playing fetch. I believe that La Joyuca del Pas is “must stay” on the Camino or if enjoying a vacation on the Costa Quebrada.

The staff were perfect. we arrived very late and the staff left is a very detailed video for access. Breakfast was good and very relaxing.

Breakfast ok, location right next to a main road so noise was evident all night, no hot water in room although the staff continued to confirm that the boiler was working. Local restaurant that was featured heavily in a the feedback and comments was closed for the winter for dinner, this was not mentioned in any of the information provided by the hotel.

Very good buffet breakfast and the location Laurie was a very nice and polite person and very kind to animals anyone travelling with dogs I would recommend and would stay again None

This place is a gem! We stayed two nights after arriving in Santander via ferry from UK with our dog. The owner is very helpful and had great tips for places to walk and eat. Breakfast was delicious with great coffee. Lovely relaxed ambiance.

Where do I start?! My stay at the Joyuca del Pas was the most lovely of my trip! It is around 20 minutes outside Santander in the little village of Mogro which is accessible by car or train. (I was walking the Camino de Santiago and it is not recommended to cross the railway bridge of the Pas, so I took the train over). It is located right next to the train station and a small bar. On arrival (quite late) I had hoped to get a meal in the small bar next door, however they did not have a chef that day. I was then going to get by on the snacks I had in my bag, until the next day, but the Lovely Eva offered to make me some food (as i was a pilgrim) which was completely unexpected and so kind of her! We had a lovely chat in Spanish that evening and she showed me around my room which was absolutely beautiful, really rustic, authentic and comfortable. Muchas Gracias Eva, eres una estrella! :) Breakfast the next day was also lovely with lots of choice and in a really beautifully decorated dining room. I hope to return one day!

I was lucky enough to meet the owner who is American and what a lovely lady so helpful even booked a restaurant for us and gave directions and as I told her the hotel is lovely and also so handy to ferry port then when you arrive there's a lovely pub next door honestly this hotel is brilliant and I thank all staff and owner absolutely magic thank you and all the best and thanks for upgrade stunning Nothing
