La Porta Vecchia

Poor communication.

This was my first solo experience in Italy. I felt completely safe and comfortable at beautiful Porta Vecchia. My arrival time kept changing due to airline reroutes and the hosts were so gracious about accommodating me. I stayed in the single room for 4 nights. It is spacious and I found it easy to keep organized. The location in the historic district is perfect for touring Monopoli and lends to an authentic feel for the area. The hosts are friendly and helpful. They present a delicious and plentiful breakfast daily. Loved starting my day on the rooftop. Would stay here again!!

Excellent location, ckeck in was effortless. The owner contacted me ahead of time to schedule. Place was spotless. Would stay there again.

Great location in the old town. 18 minutes easy walk to the train station. Room had no view and no window. Our room door swing to the inside with two steps at the door, creating a dangerous situation.

The location was excellent. You aee steos away from all the key sights in rhe old town. Staff was more than kind and accommodating. The rioom was spacious, clean, and quiet. And the bed was comfy! While there is no elevator, the owner was quick to carry my luggage up the stairs!

The free condescension offered when I asked most questions about basics including where to leave the key?????

The hosts were lovely, room had everything we needed, breakfast was delish especially the homemade treats, and the dining area beautiful.

La porta vecchia is fantastic place! It is perfectly located in the old town, close to everything. If you have car, you can park nearby in the street for free, and it is just a short walk from the B&B. Rooms are very clean, beautifully decorated, bed is very comfortable. But the best part of La porta vecchia is Cosima and her husband Luigi! They are so welcoming and friendly, they did everything so we felt like home, with dear friends! Cosima helped in planning our trips to Apulian small towns, and served fresh and fulfilling breakfast every morning. Monopoli is so lovely town, well worth visiting! Thank you Cosima and Luigi, we'll be back:)))

Super friendly owners! It makes you feel like at home and understand better Puglia! Cosima helped us to get out of the pedestrian zone and find the free parking .

Right in the heart of old Monopoli Porta Vecchia is a welcome retreat and the perfect spot to spend a few days. Great breakfast, warm hospitality and a lovely room. When I am back in Monopoli... definitely I am coming here!! grazie

Position excellent and beautiful room. Cosima was very helpful and did her best to accommodate our timings. I will definitely stay again in this accommodation if we come back to Monopoli.

Perfect accommodations for a traveling couple. Our hosts were lovely and it was special to have breakfast on their terrace! There was nothing we didn’t like about the property.

very comfortable room in great location. No parking here. listing said they had parking. Caused a lot of trouble for us, trying to find the property. No instructions were provided to find the property. Called the host who could not speak much English. Very bad communication.
