My recent stay at Nuovo Etruria Resort was a mixed experience. The hotel is located on the outer edge of the city, making it easily accessible by car. However, this also means that reaching the historical center, where all the good restaurants are, requires a long uphill walk. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and attentive, which was a positive aspect of my stay. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, although it felt a bit awkward with its three different levels (entrance, bathroom, sleeping area). I enjoyed using the outside table just next to the room, and the view was great. Unfortunately, the pool was unavailable for another two weeks, and the hotel did not announce this prior to our arrival. Additionally, the hotel recommends parking your car outside the premises due to the incoming traffic in the mornings. The breakfast had too few food options, with almost no salad, and the cucumbers seemed half rotten. Overall, I would avoid staying at this hotel again unless travelling with bigger groups where staying near each other is necessary, and the pool is operational.
