Aura Inn Monterey

The AC didn’t work

This was our second time staying at the Aura and I like it. The rooms are nice I like that you can open up the windows and the rooms are pretty roomy. On our first stay the beds were sooo comfy, I slept so good. But the counter in the bathroom was unusualey high. This last visit we had a different room, the bed was comfy but not like the first time. Overall, this place is a good place to stay. I suggest if you stay at the Aura, go and eat at the Great Wall it's on the corner of Fremont and Abrego behind Shell. The food there was delicious!!! The best Chinese food I've had the chicken wings were the best crispy n delicious and the fried tempura shrimp was also. You get a lot of food too and Jimmy I think he was the owner he was awesome.

Our stay was okay. We spent two nights there and it was pretty quiet. The area was nice, with a convenient shopping center across the street. The hotel itself was not the cleanest, the room smelled humid and there was some hair and dust around the room.

The walls and floors are thin. Being downstairs was very noisy at night. I recommend an upstairs room. Otherwise it was nice.

Loved it. The property is older, but very well taken care of. The room was clean and updated. Beds were comfy. Super close to everything. When I checked in the gentleman in the lobby was so friendly. Made me feel very welcome after a bad experience the night before. The only suggestion, maybe a little hook to hang up towels so they are on the floor. I will be staying here anytime we come pick up our son from school!!

This property is located in a very nice and quiet part of Monterey. It is walkable to the Del Monte shopping center. The room was clean and smelled nice. It was very quiet at night.

The room was nice, the staff was also though no one ever came to tidy up, the room sometimes felt a bit stuffy but other than that everything was great.

If there could be possible to have water bottles in the room, the vending machine sold out of water unfortunately

Nice room. Great location. We prefer to have housekeeping daily but that was not an option.

Very clean comfy bed appreciated the coffee. Ice machine not working: big bummer for us. Parking easy.

Everything was good! The only down was that the ice machine was not working!

We stayed here for 2 nights and I really liked how the property was clean and the parking was right there so it was very convenient to take our stuff. I also liked how it was super close to a gas station, mall, and grocery store incase any last minute things were needed. I do wish the ice machine worked :(

3 1/2 stars for a roadside motel with a facelift. Room fairly beaten up and worn. No pool, ice machine broken, cleaners need to do a more thorough clean - trash left in a nightstand drawer. Staff was very nice though. Made me look into how hotels get rated with the stars - id say this was a 2 or 2 1/2 stars. Free parking though and minutes from the fisherman's wharf
