After returning home, I noticed a $13+ parking fee per day. This was not stated on the Expedia site, nor was I told this when checking in. This is not an acceptable business practice. Expedia, please intervene by at the very least putting this listing on notice! I plan to report this property to the BBB and my credit card company.

an extra $10 parking. The front desk person said that EXPEDIA charged the $10. This is not true, Inn at 1252 charged an extra $10 for parking to refrain guests from using Expedia. so that they might reserve directly with the hotel (1252). This is another form of American greed that appears to be everywhere, (gouging), I was informed by hotel supervisor that Expedia charges the $10 at all hotels. This is absolutely not true as I stayed at other Expedia reservation hotels this past week, and was not charged the $10 for parking. This highly unethical ploy is disturbing to say the least (the country we live in)! While in the past I thought 1252 was a decent hotel, this is no longer true, and the room rate is above and beyond what the room offers. The room is designed poorly, with the plastic door, the micro wave below standards, the room was dark. In past years 1252 was an ok to stay. I won't use 1252 again.

We got charged $30 because the bag to the blow dryer was apparently missing. I’ve never used a hairdryer in my life. Tried calling the manager who kept avoiding my phone calls and wouldn’t respond. I’ll never stay here again.

We love staying here when we’re in Monterey. We love that it’s close to where we like to go,such as restaurants and shops. Also, very close to outdoorsy things we like to do when we’re visiting Monterrey. The room is clean and most importantly the AC works. We have stayed at other hotels where they think they can get away with not having AC, because it’s a coastal town. This hotel is always great. We will definitely be staying here in future trips to Monterrey. Highly recommend staying here, just pay a little more to stay here and I guarantee it’ll be worth it.

We were not impressed with this property. First of all, we had to pay $10 per night for parking, a detail we missed in the fine print. Second, we had to ask for clean towels. My inquiries about cleaning seemed to both the staff.

Very clean and comfortable place. Great location. They only allow 1 vehicle per room which created a challenge but understandable as the parking area is small. This was my second time to stay here and I plan to stay again next month.

The room was clean and the ac worked. Fortunately for us, the weather was nice and sunny (low 70s.) We stayed for one night so we didn't have to drive back being tired after a day of exploring. Would stay here again.

The room was clean and comfortable I just checked my credit card and noticed a charge for $11.28 cents. I called the inn and was told the charge was for parking because I booked through Booking.com. I should have been advised if this charge before reserving the room. Further. I asked for a receipt when I checked out and was advised that it would be emailed. I never got the email so I was unaware if the charge. I will never again stay here nor will I recommend the hotel. Booking also needs to do a better job at advertising what if any additional charges will be assessed. Very disappointing. I stayed at a different hotel in Monterey the next night also booked through Booking and was not assessed a parking fee.

Good location. Cute exterior. The toilet if very loud, so it would wake us up when someone went to the bathroom causing us not to flush at night. I felt like the pictures were better than reality. Not as spacious living area as we thought. Dated. The bed was not as comfy as we'd like. Probably won't stay again. The price was way too high for what we got.
