La Casa del Barrio - Hostel

Very clean and green. Loved the concept of inner patio/balcony/entrance. Room was very comfortable and location was incredible!! All good

this is my favorite hostel in monterrey, please dont defile it. usually it's pretty packed, but i always get the same room when i check in - and i think out of the 6-8 beds that were up there, i only had one hostel mate for the night. very quiet, good wifi, and i've had fun experiences made in this hostel. obviously, this wasn't my first stay! even though it's not that big of a problem, the door is almost always locked. so you have to ask someone to open the door for you, or sometimes at night the key is lying right next to the door to let yourself out, but overall, every time i came back at odd times of the night, someone helped me get in within a minute.

If you get the chance to book here, just do it! everything is just lovely

Location was magnificent for what I wanted to do and staff welcoming. Fantastic city and had a great time. Only things that can't be expected such as access to top floor as all stairs and no-one can speak English so have to try your best with limited Spanish.

Conveniently located in heart Barrio Antiguo yet on a quiet residential street..!! Staff is very friendly & helpful.

My friend and I stayed here for several days. It’s a charming hostel in a great location within walking distance of museums, parks, a mall and endless cafes. The staff were excellent and really made us feel welcome. We had breakfast here every morning, but ate most other meals at different locations to experience the whole area. The beds were a little on the firm side, but the rooms were clean and comfortable and cute. The beds were a little too firm for me.

It’s so quaint and the staff was very nice. I love the way it’s decorated. It’s also within walking distance to many places. It’s pretty quiet. The bed wasn’t super comfortable, but still fine.

It's a hostel but that doesn't mean to keep it old. Also, it's not a good place for 60 yo travelers, I mean, my dad didn't receive a good customer service ?

The complimentary breakfast although limited in options but was good. The staff wasn't cooperative. The used unethical means to save money, switched off the AC and said it's not working. Also, when I complained, I chose to ignore and suggested it was full.

nothing My experience at La Casa del Barrio was absolutely terrible. The staff was incredibly unhelpful and showed no interest in assisting guests, which made the stay frustrating and unpleasant. The lack of basic hospitality was disappointing, and it felt like customer service was not a priority at all. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable or enjoyable stay. There are better options elsewhere. Avoid if possible!

Beautiful room for a great price, located in the heart of the old town. Has absolutely everything you need, staff are friendly and super helpful.
