Le Maje Hostel

Good location and nice staff The room smelled bad, the cleaning was ok but facilities felt old. The kitchen is dark and not welcoming

The room was next to the receptionists desk, directly next to where people check in or out. At times it was quite noisy but manageable :)

It’s a cute place and exactly what you’d expect for the budget. There was a noxious smell emanating from the sink that filled the room. Sewer gasses are a big problem and a plumber is desperately needed to fix the issue. It’s not healthy for people to be enclosed with that, and my room had no ventilation to help.

Great location. The staff was very friendly, and overall it has a good atmosphere. Nothing. It was great.

Loved the common area and kitchen. Hostel overall felt very clean but needed some maintenance and love. Dorm bed was comfy but the room had an odd smell that didn’t go away, regardless the ensuite was very nice.

The location was amazing with the Old Town right at your doorstep. The train station was a 2min walk down the street! The space in the dorms were great! Lots of space for storage, both in your room and downstairs! Had a bathroom in each room, and more toilets available in the common areas! Very clean! The staff were great and always tried to help with any questions or issues I might've had. Other than the minor details below, I really enjoyed my stay here! The only downfall was the heating system automatically turning on and hotboxing the top bunkers in. I woke up at dawn because the heat (and smell - mixed dorm) was unbearable. I sat in the hallway until I (and the room) cooled down a bit. I had to request the staff to turn off the heater each night before I went to bed. After that, everything was gravy, had perfect sleep :) Just being a little nit-picky here; the storage lockers downstairs do not accommodate large bags, and you'll be hard-pressed to find space in your room as well. My 60L backpack only just fit. The pool table in the chill space was also unusable as the floor was uneven-the balls would just roll to one side of the table.

was raining and ask receptionist to palce my helmet on but she advise to me place it on floor, i dont think the thing i have put on my head and how clean was the floor.

Exceptional

great location, almost next to the train station The smell of the room was terrible and you can't open the windows. Even air conditioning doesn't help. With 6 people in a room (that certainly doesn't look like the one in the picture but more like the inside of a old shipwreck), it's terrible and the air is very stuffy. I also had unpleasant arab neighbors who turned on the main light every morning at 5am and never turned it off.
