Perfect location from which to venture out and explore the city. Box fan and an open window create a lovely cross breeze that mimics AC. Room has a comfortable bed, desk, chair, sink, and fridge. Fantastic value for money. Nicely surprised by the complementary body wash and shampoo, which have a lovely scent.

The sink in the room, the quiet hall, the fan and the price I was expecting/hoping for more character/evidence that it had been a convent. I would have liked an extra pillow as well.

The location is perfect, close to Concordia University. The room was nice: even the single bed room was spacious and I love that it had a fridge so that I could store some snacks and sparkling water. I was little disappointed with cleanliness of shared facilities (emphasis on "little") such as showers in the F corridor on 2nd floor, but overal not too bad. It is to be expected from a facility that is a student residence for the remainder of the year. The price is great so I am not nitpicking. What I didn't like has nothing to do with the facility but with the middle of the night noisy party-goers on Guy Street. It is summer time and having a window open during the night is expected, but that came with the "soundtrack". If I come back, I will try to request a room facing the inner garden.

Great location, affordable No A/C in the rooms

Fantastic location - close to everything. Comfortable enough for a weekend stay. Very clean and it was super nice/convenient to have my own sink in my room. Would stay here again

The building is very charming, in a nice area and within a walking distance from downtown. The room was simple yet very comfortable, clean and maintained, containing everything needed for a pleasant stay.
-
The location next to Downtown Montreal, and the 5 minute walk to the metro station The lack of air conditioning and rundown bathrooms

Great value, great location. Will return

Location was excellent!

Everything provided. Accessibility-good location No complaint!

The location is awesome! The mattress was very good, the bedroom was simple but it had everything we needed, very useful to have the sink there too. I didn’t realize there was no air conditioning and it was so hot that during the night even with the windows opened and fan in our faces, it was hard to sleep…

We loved this historical building, the amazing location, and the affordability. It was a really unique experience with common rooms, shared bathrooms (many to choose from) and the communal atmosphere. Really enjoyed this. Power went out in the lounge near our room on day 3 and was still off when we checked out. Several people reported the circuit had blown. Will bring our own pillows next time.

This was my 2nd stay here. It's conveniently located in downtown Montreal, and is close to everything. It's great for the budget minded, as it's very dated. But everything works. There's no air conditioning, but a fan is included in each room. For the security minded, there is 24/7 security at the entrance. It's on my list to go to next summer. Nothing really. I've stayed there before, so I knew what to expect.

Hot rooms but two big fans helped circulate the air.
-
No aircon but that’s to be expected. Came the hottest week but it wasn’t really that bad to be honest!

This place is good for an affordable one night stay. I liked the location and everything was clean. A heads up that there are communal showers and toilets, so be prepared for this. There was also no air conditioning, so the room was very hot.

There was no breakfast. The room was basic, clean and roomy. The downside was that it was extremely hot and humid in Montreal and there.is no air conditioning. There was a large.fan provided which was helpful, but not ideal.

- Affordable price for a private room - Private sink in room saves you from having to go to the communal rooms for morning/evening routines (Note that some of these cons indeed are publicly listed and can be known in advance - these are just the things that I personally didn’t like) - no AC - can’t leave luggage with the front desk if you arrive before checkin (4pm) or leave after checkout (11am). At least the closest luggage locker is around the block - kitchenette has no plates or utensils, or even a cleaning sponge - shared bathrooms and shower stalls don’t have anywhere to put your change of clothes; either you stash them outside the stall on the big windowsill or you walk back to your room in a towel or you precariously hang everything on one little hook and over the door - entrance has one flight of stairs before you actually get to the elevators - they have an accessible entrance but the front desk said something about having to backtrack all the way to the garage and enter from there, which is a trek - doors tend to stick and slam shut from the wind - building is big; I was on the third floor and it took me a while to even exit the building, let alone get to the metro - outside of their control: massive construction on Guy and Ste Catherine as of july 2026 making it a pain to walk to the metro

Room was as advertised. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good security. Great location!
