I have been to every 5-star hotel in Montreal and I always thought that they were great, but the rooms were a little lacking, especially with the price. With my first stay at the W Montreal in their penthouse, we were shocked to find easily the best hotel room in all of Montreal. It had: - Insanely high ceilings. - A very beautiful view from the balcony. - A massive projector with an iPad to control it. - A deep sunken bathtub. - A controllable skylight. And the list goes on and on. I highly suggest you consider booking it: it's very impressive and one-of-a-kind in Montreal or even across the world. That being said, the normal rooms are good, but sadly have very little natural sunlight. The room we booked only had a small little window on the side and was mostly covered by the blinds and the opposite building. Unless you book one of the penthouses/suites, I assume it's a bit of a gamble as to whether you'll have windows or not.

The W Montreal is a business hotel but the staff went out of their way to make my young family and I feel very welcome. The customer service at that hotel was top notch. The staff were extremely responsive to all of our inquires and requests.

Arrival was a little challenging. There was no parking in the front of the hotel and the snow made it tough to get in with out getting luggage dirty.
