Great breakfasts, attentive staff who provided much information about the city & its history, beautiful artwork filled the hotel, lovely jewelry display in the lobby, comfortable & spacious room, fabulous location while still away from the noise of the historic street. The bathroom was small; the plastic shower curtain blew inside the shower while it was in use. Heavier weights on the bottom of the curtain might cure the problem.

A beautiful family-run business with hosts who made us feel at home. Everything was perfectly clean, lovingly prepared, and delightfully unpretentious. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay there again.

We ordered room with balcony which it did and was fine, but view was of rubble and debris, and parking, so no point of sitting out. AC worked, but didn’t cool room enough on hot days.

Continental breakfast was good and the owner offered to make us an omelette which was really good. Pastries and breads were excellent and very fresh. This is a family run hotel and they made us feel part of it! Could do with AC in the reception/lounge area but not really a problem. Other than that nothing else - they were warm/ welcoming, good facilities, great location - what's not to like!

Rip-off! Stay away! overpriced and terrible owners. In decades of travel and having stayed in hudreds of hotels all over the world I have never had such a terrible experience where the owners tried to intimidate me after failing to provide what was advertised, following us outside with insults and accusations! Booked the „Delux Suite“ for two nichts and a price of 437 €, which was way overpriced to start off with. This is double to tripple the price to similar establishments in the vicinity with much better service. However, as we wanted to be close to the historic center we thought booking the most expensive room should be a safe option. The „suite“ for two was filled with several extra beds, as families have been staying there before, according to the owners. They didn‘t bother to remove these! Mind you these were not foldaway beds. So the „suite“ was more like a hostel. There was no veranda or patio as advertised and the air conditioning was barely working on a day with 38*C outside. Basically the owners refused to admit there was anything wrong with the room. They couldn‘t or wouldn’t provide an alternative and they refused to refund anything, following us outside with accusations and trying to intimidate me as we refused to stay in this room. Very, very unprofessional!!! A request by booking.com to respond was ignored.
