Hostel Taso's House

Very clean and quiet place. The Old Town is just a 5 minute walk away, which makes the location very convenient

Taso is such a great host, gave information and recommendations about things to do and where to eat around Mostar. He also assisted with another guest’s hospital visit, which is so kind! The amenities were great and I felt very comfortable there as a solo traveler.

The host was super friendly and so was all the staff. The area was nice and everyone was friendly. It felt very personal.

Everything, Taso is super kind, his volunteer Reema was wonderful, we all connected with different hostels during the free walking tour with Arnella and all got dinner together, the next day we explored Blagaj together. Just a wonderful time The walk from the bus station but I took a taxi ordered by Taso on the way back and it was very cheap and quick

It was fine. Host checked me in 5 minutes late past closing and gave me a tour. Also got offered to leave my stuff there while exploring even after check-out which would normally be a massive benefit. Some of the policies and behavior just left a bad taste in my mouth. It's €10 or 20KM to use the washing machine and dryer (€6 for just the washing machine). Like bruh that's the cost of the hostel for a night. I literally avoided staying here a second night cuz of that poor interaction with the host. Plus the fact that I had run there because my bus was an hour late and I was gonna miss check-in and no one had answered my messages asking if anyone would still be there, only to be told after I arrived, "There's no need for that." I already ran here--answer my questions next time, I can't un-run here.

It was perfect! The owner is super helpful and friendly. The place was really clean and close to points of interest. I totally recommend this hostel.

Stuff is helpful The room very closed to road,it’s noisy.And you must check in at 3pm even if there’s enough empty room.

Excellently located and Taso was so friendly and welcoming. He had great recommendations and recommended me the best tour when his wasn't running and it was absolutely brilliant. Small homey vibe and everything was super clean.

I enjoyed how social this hostel was: I’ve met a lot of travellers from all over the world, and we just chatted for hours about everything. Very nice common area with coaches to have a meal, watch TV and just spend time. Good Wi-Fi, clean bathroom and bed, there is even a small kitchen. Location is quite good and central, 5 minutes walk from the Old town. Overall very good experience! Whoever runs this place should change information about accepted payment methods! Here you can pay ONLY by CASH. Even though at booking com it clearly says that cards are accepted, which is unfortunately false. Hostel owner/manager made me feel bad and stupid for not having any cash, and also made some unnecessary comments about how “ignorant” I am. Besides that everything was great!

Taso's House is a beautiful, cosy hostel right next to the old town in Mostar. Taso and everyone put every effort into making the space feel like home and treating the guests well, even taking us on a trip around the countryside to see local attractions and giving us an informative guide to the history and culture of Herzegovina. This was an excellent experience, and we will most definitely be back! Nothing.
