The view is nice. Generally speaking the staff were very friendly. The lobby has a cool retro vibe (or dated depending on if you're a glass half empty or half full kinda person) There weren't many outlets available to charge devices. The light in the bathroom was dim. The flooring next to the genkan was peeling. I believe the hotel says English friendly, but there was no attempt to speak English or make sure we understood everything in Japanese.

The breakfast was the best thing of the hotel. Traditional Japanese style, and was different every morning. The room was big, especially for Japanese standard, with 3 single beds and space to move around and put all of our luggage. The location was a bit hard to reach, avoid booking if you're not coming by car. The staff was very passive, not helping and not flexible despite having very few customers (the breakfast was great for adults but not really matching the taste of an occidental kid)., there was also no juice for example). The advertisement highlighted a public bath but it turns out it was closed since years. This was very disappointing as this was one of our main reasons for choosing this hotel. The room is OK, but not the most comfortable one, and a little old. The bathroom is small. A renovation would be needed.
