It was conveniently located and with walking distance of all the sites. We liked everything.

Fabulous location

Essentially, I liked everything about Hotel Am Markt. The location, breakfast, checking in and out, were all perfect. The breakfast was delicious and far superior to what I had anticipated, and although my room was small, it was absolutely PERFECT and precisely what I needed. Furthermore, it was super clean, tidy. I loved being right around the corner from Marienplatz in Munich and just a few steps away from the underground entrance. The hotel is also a brief stroll (15 mins.) from the major tour bus meeting points at the end of Marienplatz. Also, the front desk people were super helpful--friendly, kind, and ready to offer directions. Very close to good restaurants and shops as well as a taxi line. Nothing--everything was PERFECT!!!!! :-D

Fantastic locations, but be aware taxi can't take you all.thebway to the hotel as it's in a pedestrian area The room was baking hot and the fan in the room was broken, my partner fixed it, but it was still very hot in the room, noisy location if you opened windows. Reception staff apart from.one lady were miserable, when we checked out the receptionist stood in the entrance doorway chatting and smoking

The hotel location was right for the places we wanted to visit in Munich; most places were a short walking distance from the hotel or accessible by train nearby. The staff was all very friendly. And the breakfast was delicious and we had generous portions; the lady managing the breakfast was very nice. We have no complaints!

Excellent location, very friendly breakfast staff, clean. We received a fan in the room as we arrived in the middle of a heat-wave A small fridge in the room would have been lovely. Breakfast options didn’t leave much space to choose what you liked

The location was great, very easy to get to Marienplatz, local transportation, and restaurants On my first day there I got locked in the bathroom because the door handle wasn’t working. The great location also comes with a lot of noise, and my room in particular was right by a very busy alley. The bed was also a little uncomfortable, especially on a hot week with no air conditioning or fan.

Central location in old town Because it is so close to market, it is very noisy early in the morning.

It is a beautiful building, located just steps from the market and close to the glockenspiel and several cathedrals. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable.

Hotel Am Markt is really all about the location. Right at the market, near Marienplatz, Frauenkirche, shopping and restaurants. Shower was a little slippery with not much to "hang on" to

Location No coffee or breakfast until 8 am. For early risers, this is hard. There aren’t even coffee makers in the room. The front desk people could show better hospitality and enthusiasm.

Very close to city center The walls are very thin and you can hear the next room talking. The bed is not comfortable and the pillows are terrible.

The location to the platza was great, this is a very lovely charming hotel with cafes, markets and restaurants all within walking distance. We loved staying here for flexibility and ease due to location. The room was perfect size! We stayed in a room which backed onto an alley which was horrible. At night you heard all glass breakage from the truck, sweeper trucks and people talking loud. There is no aircon in the room, couple of days it was extremely warm and I requested a fan and was refused because it was not the season for it. The only ventilation the room has is opening the windows which we did and the amount of noise was very painful to deal with and that ruined our sleep and then our room was next to an elevator on the first floor, so we heard people slamming doors, talking loud and much more. If you are a light sleeper and want peace this will not be your place or have them place you in another section of the area. Great with kids because they can walk easily and when they get tired you just come back. The amount of noise, no aircon, refusal of fan during hot weather.
