The location is literally a few steps from the Deutsche Bahn trains pull into the Hauptbahnhof. The hotel itself is in a beautiful old building with lots of character, rooms are luxurious and well thought out, and there’s a beautiful pool and spa that felt really nice after traveling. The staff are also really wonderful. One member helped with a room upgrade, and another recommended a really great dinner spot and jazz bar that made my trip to Munich memorable! Absolutely nothing!

Room AC was not working properly and despite multiple complaints it was not fixed. A portable fan was given instead. WE had booked two rooms and the second room AC worked fine. Given the warm weather we particularly booked a hotel room with AC, but unfortunately our AC did not work.

Pool and amenities were amazing. Location can’t be beat. Not loud even with the train station so close. Our room didn’t have AC so they moved us immediately. Great customer service and we even got free welcome drinks which was a nice touch.

We had a very pleasant stay at Sofitel Munich, what made it better was Mr. Mahmoud he extended our checkout and made us try an amazing summer smoothie!

We asked 3 times to bring bed sheets for my kids and another 3 times for showers towels.

We had a one day layover here between trains from Paris and then on to Venice. We were amazed at the friendly service and the amazing room that we had. It had a two story window and an upstairs. Such a pleasure after a long day on the train! Great Room and Friendly staff…even had a set of mini stairs at reception for young kids who might want to be part of checking in…really very nice and warm for a bigger hotel.

The bathroom light did not shut off. We were forced to wear face masks at bedtime.

Loved the location! Quick walk or ride to old town. Laundry machines right down the street. Breakfast was amazing and delicious! Best breakfast in Munich! Nothing
