I didn’t like this hotel. For $300+ Euros, this place was terrible. Facilities were run down as dirty. Room was dirty. Sheets in bed were scratchy, shower and bath sink drains very slow. One night just to sleep was too long to be there.

    Nothing.

I was checked in, presented my passport and asked immediately about payment. I was given a key, no payment was taken I assumed all was good and either it was done via booking.com or you pay at the end. We asked several times about the AC issue in our room. I sent my husband as I have a broken foot. They ignored us and one guy actually said he "didnt give a shit" and another complained at 2am that we had not paid even though I explained as far as I could tell we had and I had asked about it repeatedly. We were made to feel as if we did something wrong and we did not and the air issue and recoding our key was barely addressed.

Everything is OK. Good location and the staf was politely.

  • Engine customer Mar 2026

The room was OK, the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was OK. You can get into the parking garage, only after you checked in, which is difficult because there is no parking space in front of the hotel. The restaurant of the hotel is not really a restaurant, rather a bar only. We had to take the car to find a real restaurant, because there is nothing really in a walking distance.

Though the location is not central it’s well connected by tram

  • Engine customer Feb 2026

Loud in the morning- maybe cleaning rooms nearby? Parking lot a little far- it was raining to walk to and from it.

  • Engine customer Feb 2026

Location, bed, kaiserschmarrn I got a wheelchair accessible room, with poor shower. Breakfast is very German, they are very happy about it.

Comfortable, location is also not far from center. Rooms are clean Nothing to complain

Location Staff was extremely rude during checkout. Bathroom ahower doesnt have a door, all floor gets wet. There is one sliding door that either closes the toilet area or the shower area..there is anglass wall in the shower area, no privacy at all if you share a room.

It was out a bit from the city center but the tram and bus stops were both close and it was easy to transfer anywhere we wanted to go. They had a nice bar and restaurant area and an outside seating area. There are heated tiles in the bathroom although the ones in our room were broken; they worked for others in our group. The a/c was broken in our room and we had to sleep with the windows open, which wouldn’t have been bad in late September had it not been so humid. We told the front desk about it but nothing was ever done. The staff was atrocious: Rude, unhelpful, and definitely unwilling to help with anything. We asked them to fix the a/c but they never did, nor would they move us to another room. One of the members of our group was chastised for bringing in an outside beverage; meanwhile others literally had their pants down and were being spanked in the middle of the restaurant but no one said anything to them.

Good location for my needs, close to tram and bus lines. Decent bed and pillows. Clean bathroom. Breakfast buffet is average. Parking structure entrance requires you to exit your car and use card reader on the right hand side. Took me 3 tries to get back in the car with the gate still open. When checking out, staff gave me a new card which did not allow me to get back into my room to retrieve my belongings. Too much fuss for the card. Breakfast is pricey and average.

10 minute walk to a tram stop Not many restaurants or stores nearby

  • Engine customer Oct 2025

A bit pricey but wonderful breakfast. The staff was awesome, they helped us with complimentary drinks and one time, when the kitchen was closed, the person working the night shift gave us some peanuts even though he didn't have to. Cheers mate! Some amenities were missing which we expected for a "premium" hotel, like slippers, small towels, sockets on both sides of the bed and the room looked a bit outdated.

Clean and great staff Little journey to the town center but not terribly bad. Easy walk to bus stop and the a short ride to Train. You have to remember it’s a city you’re navigating but that was the worst part.

The bed sheets and blankets were not of good quality and were slightly worn. The refrigerator didn't work.

  • Engine customer Jul 2025

It was clean, an good quality. Big beds, nice breakfast! The beeakfast was a littlebit expensive, but still it had a very good quality!

  • Engine customer Jun 2025

Because of the UCL final, prices of the hotels in general, was overpriced. Unfortunately I had to pay too much as I stayed in the hotel during that period.

Star G is a very nice hotel, and evidently Family Friendly because everybody we saw had a bunch of kids, and there were lots of customers. The families also spent time in the lobby, where there was an actual arcade game as well as other entertainment. When do you ever see people in a hotel lobby? The demographics made me wonder if there were a Disneyland nearby. For me, the best thing about this hotel is that there is a niche in the bathroom over the toilet, so males can look at a dried flower arrangement instead of a dumb old mirror, which seems to be such a popular bathroom design element. Who wants to look at his own face while doing that? More niches in bathrooms! I will forgive them the sliding glass door that serves both the toilet and the shower stall, and the glass wall facing the bedroom, with an afterthought curtain. This hotel fad is not nearly as clever as you think. We had breakfast dates every day we were in Munich, so we never tried that. The man at the desk the first night told us that Deragtstrasse has free parking and we didn't need to use the 16 euro per night parking structure. Dave thought the coffee was bad. But even in a multinational big office desert like north Schwabing, there are a bunch of coffee choices.

I wasn't able to get the AC to work, though since I only spent my nights in the room, I didn't ask the desk. So I can't guarantee I wasn't doing something wrong.
