The rooms are like studio apartments. They supply everything for the kitchen. The beds are comfortable. You don’t hear your neighbors. They have a hot breakfast every morning.

Stayed 3 nights earlier in the week. Asked for an hour late check out and they wanted to charge us. We declined. Returned after 3 days of camping with grandkids. My wife and I were very tired and arrived at 12:30, asked if our room happened to be ready. It was as long as we were willing to pay for an early check in. I declined. But decided to call the manager. He assured me they needed till 4 pm (most check ins are 3pm) to make sure the team has ample time to clean and organize the rooms. Strange it was ready if I was willing to pay more. It was a suite room, not the basic but the hotel was on 1/4 full max. So, we killed the 3 hours and returned. Next morning housekeeping is at our door at 9am, asking when we are checking out. My wife said “at checkout time.” She wanted an exact time. We travel a lot. And have been in business for years. I get it when the hotel is busy and they honestly need the time. But when a hotel has a room ready, and costs them nothing to give a client a break, why not? That I don’t understand. Oh well, gives us a reason to check out a few of the newer hotels in the area. It’s too bad. We have always liked Staybridge.

Breakfast was typical - eggs, meat, cereal, bagels, etc. There is a waffle maker, which my kids love having at a hotel! The (free!) evening hot appetizers and draft beer/soft drinks was a treat! Only downside for us was the construction right out front of the hotel - which we heard early each morning and had to avoid when leaving the hotel. I should have asked for a room facing away from the road (my fault!). But I'm sure the construction is just temporary. Other than that, everything was wonderful and I would stay here again!

The kitchen On the 3rd night of my stay as I was pulling out the sheets that were tucked under the mattress, a used syringe fell on the floor. I told the lady at the front desk and showed a picture, and asked for house cleaning to pick it up. I was told they would change my sheets. They didn’t change my sheets, AND they put the syringe by my belongings on the table the next day when I was gone. At bedtime on the 4th night , I told my daughter I was going to lift the mattress so she could check and see if there were more syringes. There was one more used one. I know they were used because I could see some liquid and bubbles. I picked it up with tissue, as well as the first syringe from the night before, and I went down and told and showed the front desk person. I told him about the night before and the conversation I had with the lady. I was told twice that I would get 30% off my stay. Didn’t happen. I was charged the full amount.

Easy check-in and out. The quality and option for breakfast were great. The young man that was at the check-in desk was very kind and friendly. The room was clean; the bathroom was clean as well as the kitchenette. The lowest the air conditioner seems to be set was 70 degrees, which was an issue for me.

This is my second time staying at this location. It’s clean enough, however I found a pocket knife under the couch as well as wrappers, and a chip bag in the bedroom. They weren’t stuffed anywhere, it was pretty out in the open. Open enough to where housekeeping should have seen them. The pool is nice, however the amount of people smoking cigarettes as well as marijuana at a no smoking property made it less enjoyable, especially since I was traveling with kids. They put on a nice breakfast, on the weekends it stays open until 10, during the week it’s supposed to stay open until 9:30, but was frequently packed up and put away by 9:15. My biggest grievance is the lack of housekeeping. I didn’t need my room reset everyday, but everyday I had to go to the front desk for towels, toilet paper, and to beg them to take my garbage. The garbage was only taken one day out of seven that I was there. It just piled up and there’s only a small garbage can in the room. The lack of housekeeping happened at both of my weeklong stays at this location. It’s in a great location and everyone was friendly. Definitely a safe place.
