The room and building was exceptionally clean. Comfortable beds, well laid out bathroom and a good shower. There are three skylights that provide natural light and fresh air. Property is easy to find and has good bus service to and from Santander. There a number of cafe/bars within a 10 minute walk, a couple of supermercados and a large shopping complex about a 15 minute walk away. The property is in an urban area that has no tourist attractions. The staff did not appear to have any knowledge or desire to provide us with information. For example, train travel to and from Santander is being impacted due to construction work. Staff are unaware of this or that buses are being provided as alternative transportation. As a result, we asked to book a taxi for our travel to a nearby city. Staff called and advised that a taxi was booked for the next day and the cost would be 75E. Turned out that the taxi was the staff person driving us in their car along with a friend. I guess we got taken for a little ride ;) and the staff person made 75E. We do not speak or read Spanish well. Later however, I did find online and at a train station, that buses were available and could have taken us to the nearby city for much less than 75E. The construction work and impact on train services has been ongoing since Feb 27, 2026, The property description describes a restaurant and bar on site. There is one. We asked about meals and were told that dinner + breakfast was 35E per person. Breakfast only, 20E per person. No menu or meal description provided. To rich for our budget. Staff did not suggest or provide options when asked about where to eat. The restaurant never appeared to be open or serving anyone. The property description states "garden or city views". The room does have a window, at about mid thigh level for me. Bending down to look through the small window, I could see a ramshackle back yard and a residential street. Yes, it does have a window, but a "view"? Please, do not upsell a mundane urban street through a small window as a "view". This property is lovely inside, but is expensive and sorely misses the mark with respect to providing the friendly and helpful services we experience at so many other places we have stayed.

The staff was unhelpful to say the least. The cleaning service walked into the room without knocking or warning. The breakfast option were miserable and the room unclean.

We had a big lovely clean room with all the amenities. There was a humidifying fan which was great for the heat. The stay were lovely and informative even more so with the language barrier but we still had loverly conversations. Definitely likely to stay again as close and easy access to the ferry at Santander.
