Very Dirty

I will admit I didn't read the reviews prior to booking. I was looking for a quick drop in mid week for a couple nights and they had availability. Check-in was quick and the staff was pleasant. When we got to our unit i did notice it was outdated and did have sort of a 70's home smell. There was even a rocker recliner that immediately reminded me of my parent's house. However the property and amenities were amazing. We had a great time at the pool that goes up to 8 feet and the hot tub. We had drinks at bar/grill just inside near the pool. I was impressed with the cleanliness of all the public areas. Throughout our stay staff were friendly and helpful. I was greeted by every employee I passed while walking around. I can't wait to visit again.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we actually left with our next visit already booked! That says a lot about how much we loved the place. We’re looking forward to coming back and would definitely recommend Carolina Winds to anyone visiting Myrtle Beach!

All the necessary things you need in the room. Very good ocean view. The building and rooms are very dated.

No beach view was good. Hot tubs were warm.

The room was nice, but it could’ve been cleaned better. The bathtub had hair in it, the curtain was dirty as well. The dishes were dirty, and the floor had sand on it. But overall the hotel was nice, it wouldn’t stop me from booking again. As the amenities were the reason we booked to begin with!

The pool was very nice, the staff courteous, and the motel was on a nice section of the beach. Was only there for two days but enjoyed my stay and have zero complaints...

The bathrooms need remodeling. The water from the shower didn't drain and it kept clogging all the time in the bathtub. The maintenance guy fixed it a few times but it didn't help.

Room was a little out dated air conditioning smelled mustie I seen one roach in the bathroom other then that it was ok for the price 30 second walk to the beach 10 min drive to Walmart nice beach view on balcony its a decent place to stay for the money.

Can't wait to return to Myrtle Beach and stay at the Carolina Winds!

Don't be deceived by the pictures of these places. Look at several places in this resort and you will see that they use stock photos on a lot of the rooms. Our room was old, outdated, beat up, dirty and had cockroaches that came out of the coffee pot when we went to make. Grateful we booked with Expedia as they contacted the property management and the next day we were moved to a really nice condo. For the remainder of our stay. 709 was the room that we originally booked. The staff was helpful in getting us into another. The bait and switch pictures of the place were total grabage. The outdoor facilities were ok.

I will be honest and start out by saying the first day was not great. The first unit we were in was horrible. The beds were like cement. It was dark and dreary and honestly we were going somewhere else if they did not move us. After one really sleepless night my husband went down and spoke with them and they moved us to another unit. This one was bright and cheery and the beds were much, much better. You could see the ocean from the balcony and it was clean and had a nice kitchen. There were dishes and pots and pans and a coffeemaker. That is why I am giving them and excellent. They made it right when there was a problem.

Self parking that’s free is a block away, the garage covering was super tight, no beach access from pool area after 10pm. I literally saw them lock the gates. The property could use a good pressure washing to say the least. Not horrible but man I was expecting a whole lot better from this chain.

Very clean and everything worked!

Our room did not have a curtain to block the outside walkway lights from shining voluminous light into the bedroom. The blinds were insufficient for this purpose.

The room was very dated and had a musty odor. The shower did not drain and the office staff said someone would fix it the next day, but the issue was never fixed. The pools were nice and clean and the hotel had easy access to the beach.

We had a great stay at this property! The view was perfect, and my kids loved the pools! The kitchen was stocked nicely and we were able to cook anything we wanted. The room was very comfortable and we had plenty of room. We will definitely stay again!

Great stay, very clean. Wonderful staff. Obviously an older property. Door to the bathroom hit the toilet and no soap provided.

Everything was great! Room was super clean and accommodating.
