Residence Inn by Marriott Myrtle Beach Oceanfront

The staff and the overall location were great! However the room itself which is the most important for me as part of booking a hotel (beside customer service) was not clean. We found multiple pieces of hair in the shower, we let our baby crawl around in the room and shortly realized his socks were BLACK, leading me to believe they don’t mop the rooms. They also didn’t supply extra toilet paper (we only had one roll for the entire stay which thankfully we ended up using up the day we left) I understand that certain things may not be done after each check out to be more efficient and turn Rooms over quickly but things like hair in the shower shouldn’t been found.

Our room was fantastic exactly what I booked. Beautiful oceanfront room. Continental breakfast was good and different options. Would definitely stay here again! All staff was very nice

Dirty room, staff doesn’t clean or even make the bed for you

Upon arrival, our room did not have a television remote, and we only had one set of towels. I called both the front desk and housekeeping three separate times requesting towels and a remote. After receiving no resolution, my husband had to go to the front desk in person. Even then, he was asked to wait 30–45 minutes because the receptionist stated they “did not know where maintenance was” to provide a remote. The towels did not arrive until late Friday, meaning we had already spent two days with only one set of towels and no way to operate the television. There was also trash outside our room that appeared to have been swept out during cleaning before our arrival. It remained there until Saturday, giving the impression that the area was not being properly maintained. The notice in the bathroom stated that rooms would receive limited cleaning every two days. However, despite staying three days, our room was never cleaned. We even confirmed there was no “Do Not Disturb” sign hanging on our door. Additionally, the floors in the lobby and elevator areas remained noticeably dirty throughout our entire stay, which further reflected a lack of attention to cleanliness. Finally, there was ongoing construction behind and/or near the hotel that significantly limited direct beach access. We were never informed of this before our arrival.

Staff, especially front desk clerk Wayne was super helpful. The housekeeping team did a nice job- very clean room at arrival and kind, but took multiple times calling and being on hold to get fresh towels because they were so busy. Breakfast (food and staff) was exceptional and plentiful. Pool amenities were good, but not as good as other hotels at this price point. (Towel staff was very accomodating.) The beach was being reclaimed and there was a small sign posted with a QR code for info, would have been good to know before booking a week stay with an oceanfront room. Couldn't get to the beach for 3 of the 5 day stay.

A special mention to Jasmin at the front desk - she was incredibly courteous and truly an angel throughout our stay. She was always smiling, helpful, and easily reachable whenever we needed anything. We would definitely consider staying at this property again on our next visit.

Totally Recomended it. Truly Pet Friendly very minimum Restriction for pets. Stuff was very friendy, breakfast was on time and never runout of food. Access to beach was exelent, very easy parking for a low fee.. pool was fun for kids. Perfect for family with kids and Pets!

Great place to stay in south Myrtle

Overall, the property was good and the staff were very friendly. One thing to note is that the bed sheets and pillow cases were a bit dirty. Besides those minor things it is a good place to stay at considering the price.

No Hot tub

Clean rooms, beautiful views and very friendly staff! Great location and accommodations were excellent!

We do not recommend this property at all.

Overall it was a good stay. I gave them 4 stars because our first night, there was no water and they did not compensate for that…

the staff was very friendly and very helpful. anything i needed , they helped or had an answer to. room was very clean and beds are so comfortable. Also the location was great. Beach perfect!! the pool and firepits were a plus. breakfast is phenomenal. excellent experience!!
