Amazing location right next to Zenkoji temple. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, multiple courses, great mix of local food. Onsen was very nice, very clean - shared onsen bath, although our room had it's own private toilet and shower. Rooms were spotless. Would happily stay here again

The location to the temple and shops was perfect. Walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The room was comfortable and air conditioning was great. The on-site onsen was a great way to cap off the day. Meals can be purchased on site, we didn't try any. We did use the laundry service and they did a great job. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We would stay here again. The bathroom was a little tight.

Did not like too much the bathroom, the step to enter the bathroom is a little dangerous. Room is a little small.

The room was spotless, the futons were exceptionally comfortable, and the staff were incredibly kind. They went above and beyond to help us when our baby had a medical issue, and we were so grateful for their care. We highly recommend it!

I absolutely loved my stay here. The ryokan was central to exploring the area near the temple, which was very busy during the day but peaceful and quiet at night. The room design and amenities were thoughtful and intentional; I especially liked the tea tray that was refreshed each morning. The staff were friendly and attentive and the service and food during breakfast was exceptional.

A quiet, traditional ryokan located just near Zenkoji Temple. The staff was extremely friendly, and the traditional Japanese room was spacious and clean. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious.

A lovely ryokan right near Zenkoji Temple. You can take a bus up from Nagano station and then walk a few minutes to the ryokan. The room was traditional with space for two beds and a small table. Tea and snacks were provided in the room. We had a private bathroom and shower. The onsen is lovely with space for 3-4 people it was not busy at all while we were there. We would definitely stay here again.

Central location in Zenkoji temple area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spoke English. Food was very good. Facilities were clean, room was a good size. The ofuro (public bath) was a little small but quite adequate.

Authentic Japanese experience with an on-site, separate male and female, ONSEN bath. Huge multicourse, breakfast and dinner served in a classic environment with lovely quiet music in the background. The location could not be better. It is in a historic building associated with the shrine. There was nothing not to like about this exquisite experience
