Smile Hotel Naha City Resort

The beach is walkable. The front desk staff is very friendly. This place has a lot of potential….very retro feel and design. Probably hasn’t been updated since it was built, but that was very cool. Unfortunately none of the old technology worked, which was disappointing. It was quiet and in a quieter end of town. It was not clean. It was passable….sheets/towels all ok. But very dusty, mildew-y and damp. The building also isn’t maintained well. While the location to the beach was great, it was a bit far from the rest of the exciting part of the city.

Add some items to breakfast to have more variety. It is better to make room cleaning day after day instead of each 3 days.

The only thing I liked about the property is where it was centrally located I didn’t request a smoking room, but I was giving one and it smelled like an ashtray. It was absolutely terrible.

Location was good, easy to walk to convenience stores and to the monorail in Naha. -

Staff was great at looking for ways to communicate with us: speaking, technology to translate, body language. They were all very friendly. nothing to share.

The place is in a great location. Always clean, quiet, and the staff is so nice and helpful! Will definitely go there again!

The staff promptly refunded me in full, which was appreciated. The photos on Booking.com were misleading and did not accurately represent the hotel's condition. The property was dirty and untidy; my room was filthy with visible dirt stains everywhere, and the wallpaper was peeling from the walls. When I requested a different room, I was informed that all rooms were in the same poor condition and was only offered a smoking room, which I declined. The only positive aspect was that the staff promptly issued a full refund, allowing me to book another hotel immediately, which I appreciated.

Breakfast is superb! They have great food and service ??. Just a bit hassle In their coin laundry area …needs improvement i guess ?

Near Center City Good and Quiet surroundings Near a Park and a little Beach Very well on every Level GOOD! Staff Should Speak a little more English... Sometimes Cleaning such be more Efficient but it was Fine!

Hotel was ok, a bit old, bathroom kind of old-style typical japanese. Room had a balcony which is a good point. Location is ok - quite close to the only beach in Naha - so 5 minutes walk and you're there. Real disappointment was the breakfast - not a buffet, just a choice of western or japanese style, and clearly reheated not cooked in the hotel, so rather supermarket food quality. So even though it was a big one, we felt like quality-wise it was a poor choice. Also due to covid they told us that instead of cleaning the room they would give us complementary water in bottles, which was nice. But last day they refused to give us even one bottle extra - so clearly a budget oriented hotel.

The location was convenient. Pillows were all different, some felt chunky and not fluffy. The space in the room was also fairly limited considering it was a room for four people, there was no space where people could gather except on the beds. Only two washing and drying machines and very small sizes. The single chair that was near the other door in the room was really dusty and you could see that it was dirty from a quick glance and one of the lights in the bathroom didn't turn on sometimes.

The choice of breakfast is not quite a lot. I expected more kinds of food. But the amount they serve is good.
