Gentile Suite

The "breakfast" was a coupon to go to a café around the corner to get a coffee or juice and a croissant. We had a lot of trouble arranging to drop off our suitcases at the hotel because it was locked and no one ever answered. A man helped us by calling the "Director", who finally let us in to drop off our luggage and register. The room had an upstairs bedroom and downstairs bathroom which would not work for us. He switched us to a much smaller room with queen bed, even though we paid for a king bed junior suite. After that, we never saw anyone, ever at the hotel. Service was non existent.

Once inside the building, the unit was very clean. Very nice furnishings. Towels and bedding were good quality. The manager provided detailed instructions for getting from the train station to the unit. While the unit was very nice and met our immediate needs, the sewage smell coming from the bathroom and shower was absolutely disgusting. The walk from metro on a cold day is not pleasant. We were downtown for one reason, NYE celebration. Fireworks debris was on our balconies to include a spent bullet casing. The paid for breakfast was not adequate. We were given a card to walk to a street pastry location. A drink and an item (sweet or savory) was the breakfast. No inside seating, so everyone stood around the window eating a croissant and a caffe. Select a non-breakfast room and save money. I wish I had done a little more research.

Location

Our room was huge. There was a really nice open terrace with a common area for coffee and water. Every time we had a question the host responded quickly even in odd hours. If you're staying in the historic center of Naples this is the best place to be!

The host was the best part of our stay in Naples. He made us feel at home and provided great recommendations for food places around the city and for transportation methods. He even booked taxi for us to reach the airport. The place is really well taken care of. Everything is clean and welcoming. The host has went the extra mile to provide an amazing service. The place has a great common area where we had coffee and snacks. In one of the locations there was even a retro arcade game which made the place feel unique. The bed was really comfortable and the room wasn't missing anything.

Beautiful apartment In heart of Naples , very clean and all new ..host was helpful! Very comfortable as they have airport pick up service and it’s much cheaper then using uber !! Thank you so much !

Awesome facility. Clean and bright! Staircase to the king size bed that is upstairs. Well equipped kitchen as well. Great aircon!! Really kept the place cool. Eugenio above and beyond to accommodate guests. He is wonderful. Will reserve a taxi for you as needed and provide recommendations for laundry and eating. Great laundry service about a 15 minute walk from the apartment. Plenty of restaurants at the end of the street from the apartment.

There is no elevator to the suites. Our bags were so heavy but the director of the Suites helped us carry the bags. We arrived during a taxi strike so it was hard to get there.

I didn't not like anything. Its very centrally located. Naples was very interesting. The outside looks nothing like the inside.

Everything was just perfect!!! This place is for who that wants to fill the real Napoli,the location amazing,the hospitality is great,and the room clean,new,design and very comfortable. Will be back for sure ?

Great location, near lots of nice restaurants, bars etc. Manager at reception was very helpful and engaging. Several detailed messages were sent in advance of and during our stay with instructions for check in and check out etc. The wooden stairs in our apartment (104) leading to the main bedroom may be a hazard for small kids, elderly people,etc.

Gentile Suite is truly an oasis in a very chaotic area of Napoli. Our host, Eugenio, was just as amazing as the rooms. He was very helpful in making suggestions on activities and some dinner reservations. The rooms are modern, clean, and very very comfortable - AC worked perfectly in hot summer. The breakfast was typical Italian and delicious. We were travelling with our teenage daughters and had plenty of room - this was by far, our favorite room - plus the arcade was a plus that everyone loved! The Centro Storico area is noisy, crowded, and difficult to maneuver around, but this B&B was our respite in the middle. Would HIGHLY recommend if you are in the area. The location is the only down point of this B&B. It is very quiet inside, but the surrounding area is totally chaotic with - mardi gras/Bourbon Street-like drinking, smoking, SO many people, and trash all around. It's not an area that you would can stroll around and explore without watching for motorinos to run you over. Napoli has a certain chaos that is special just to Napoli - and it's worth experiencing - and if you ever visit - Gentile Suite is a wonderful place to stay.

Location (old city, close to metro), quality of the finishing of the interiors (in big contrast with the surroundings...), cleaness, size and confort of the rooms; excellent service from their employees (including with breakfast) and all the comm with the administrator (about location, access, points of interest around, etc) including accepting an earlier checkout..
