Residenza la Scala is at the edge of the historical centre of Napoli and within easy walking distance of the Transvisuviana train line and the metro. Paola the host is a friendly and informative person who is happy to pass on tips about where to eat and drink. The authentic local tratorrias and traditional pizza houses are filled with mainly locals enjoying delicious,wholesome Campanian dishes. The third floor room itself, furnished with nordic simplicity, was quiet and airy with a view of rooftops skimmed by swallows. The spotless bathroom had a good shower. There is a corner in the corridor with tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge with cold water in it. To return to this peaceful haven after the hectic quality of the bustling city streets was always a pleasure. For breakfast, on Paola's recommendation, we went to the excellent Cafe Nayman across the road where the best cappuccino and cornetto in town is served by people with great courtesy, typical of the inhabitants of this noble and fascinating metropolis.

Everything was fine. Paola gave excellent information where you can have a snack inexpensively and deliciously. The location is excellent, near the station, although there is a noisy street nearby, on the street where the apartments are quiet. There is no noise. The apartments, although not large, are quite enough. Thank you again. I recommend it to everyone

The room was very nice and very clean. The bathroom was small, but modern and well laid out. Paola was a wonderful host. She was very helpful and did everything she could to help make our stay in Naples a positive one despite the language barrier. The area around here was a little gritty, but it was convenient to a lot of the things we wanted to see while we were there, so it was a decent trade off.

Breakfast delivered to your room while your getting ready to start the day....perfect...saves time to start your tours. Using WhatsApp to message Paola about anything comes with immediate assistance. I bought bottle of wine and messaged her to leave wines glasses and opener for evening....she did! She also has great wines you can just buy from her. Asked her where I can get fresh olives and she just brought me some. Made sure we were safe by giving us tips and suggestions. It’s not a Marriott but more of a Airbnb with personal assistant....
