Doria Suites Napoli

When we arrived we were informed the room had a leak and we were given a room next door at a neighbouring property that wasn’t of the same scale. It’s been almost a month and we haven’t received a refund for the difference between the properties. It wasn’t what we booked. Small room. Uncomfortable bed.

The property was well located. NO TOILET PAPER! The air conditioning unit never cooled the room at all. It barely even worked as a fan. What a miserable nights sleep. The shower could not have been smaller and the regulator on the hot/cold water coming out did not function. Finally, while the unit was clean, when you walk into the complex from the street, the court yard and walkways were very dirty and filled with bird droppings. YUCK!!!

We love this appartment. It is nicely furnished with modern and stylish furniture. It has terrace with a great view and its location is just perfect, close to airport bus station, port and city center. Lady Antonella is very nice host, communicating quickly everything that you need. We will stay there again. Our stay was just fine.

The room was large, clean, good location.

Bad

Central location in the city near monuments and tourist attractions. B & B is in a bad bulding in a place with heavy traffic.

Not a lot.No contract I was told check in 2.00hrs assuming a person would be there.Arrived enterance grotty unclean.To be met with digital lock entry.After phoneing contact number all this assuming I had mobile phone got cut off a few times . After language difficulties received two codes. Access to apartment area covered in bird poo and dried leaves etc not been touched by humans for a while.Once inside first door assumed breakfast area which was a mess empty tea bag box.a kettle for hob(no hob) neglected area which I assumed was breakfast area. Enter apartment no information data etc. only paperwork two vouchers for cafe at entrance.Then found gate could allow exit but entery I had no key.Called owner he advised to call and he would open (if I got back at 2am it can't be right to Cafe can open door when open.needs addressed as not acceptable. .

Good

Nice rooms with balcony overlooking charming little piazza. The location is excellent, close to Alibus station, port and metro, nearby piazza Municipio and Castel Nuovo and in walking distance from main sights. It is in nice area, nearby there is a good pizzeria Bellillo and big Sole supermarket. The breakfast (Italian style, croissant and coffee) is served in San Marco bar, just outside the building. How to get in: there is a sign by the gate, which is usually open during the day, but you will get a phone no. to call to open it if needed, if it does't work you can always ask the waiters from San Marco bar - they have the key. Then you get in the courtyard and take the elevator or the stairs to the first floor. The entrance to the premises is on the left side and you will get a code to open it and another code to open the room. The room is a good size, nicely furnished with new furniture, comfortable bed, electricity sockets by the bed, good wi-fi, small fridge and good bathroom. I would stay there again. No major issues, just it would be good to have towel hangers in the bathroom.

Position: very easy to reach as it is at few meters from the Metro and close to city centre. Effective and modern check-in/check-out/keys: all done by phone, The place itself is in a old building, which is not really well maintained. The room has a good size, but the furniture is very basic and I would expected a bit more considering the price. There is no breakfast on site, so you have to go the bar downstairs and the brakfast consists on just a coffe and a pastry, you have to pay any extra: not enough to be considered breakfast.

Good location to see sights in Naples, close to transport links. Friendly staff at central reception. Room is clean but looks well used. Communication could have been better. There is no reception at the B&B. Information is provided from a central location. Could work, but for us, we weren't sent codes to enter the building until we chased them. Wrong information was sent. And we weren't told that breakfast is from the shop underneath the B&B until after we'd checked out and left Naples.

Pleasant

Room was large and generally very clean. Owner was responsive to messages and very helpful. Location was great for the port, Spanish quarter, airport bus and metro. The access to the property was strange and felt unreliable, even though the contact that we had with the owner was very helpful, having to phone a number for access to the main gate is not what I would expect or want. Towels were torn and room was extremely basic.

Great location 10 min from train station Garibaldi. The property is right across from the ferry port" Molo Beverello"perfect fir transiting to Ischia.The self service for check in with the codes was easy, although the coffee bar San Marco will help you, as the main door for BB was locked but they hold the key.Airy and clean room. Great and powerful shower. You will struggle if you don't speak Italian as the owner communicated with me via WhatsApp but I speak italian so that wasn't a problem. The bed has a memory mattress foam which for me it's too soft so I didn't sleep well .The street outside is very,very noisy but I think that there's nothing you can do about the collection of glass bottles at 5am.

The view is great The bed is comfortable It says that the breakfast is included but no breakfast at all Hard to understand with the owner because he s not speaking english and forget to send me the instruction to get in the location

The location was perfect, close to the Spanish quarter and the port. The café/breakfast bar below the apartment was useful. The room had everything we needed
