Location couldn't be any better. Beautiful place and very nice onsen. I definitely recommend it. I loved everything.

I loved the location; it was walking distance to everything, so very convenient. The place was amazing. Nice Japanese breakfast. Loved the Yuzu honey welcome drink. Onsen was very nice. I loved everything. That was one of my favorite places in Japan.

The staff is sweet and professional. The location is excellent- just across the street from Nara park and close to Nara town. The private onsen is really nice after a long day of sightseeing. The property seemed a little bit dated. I love a good Japanese breakfast and this one could be improved.

Favourite place we stayed in all of Japan, wish we had more than 1 night. Centrally located, amazing service from the staff who are so welcoming and friendly. Great public and private baths to use as well on site! We also had the breakfast which was superb. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip.

The location was perfect! The staff was so friendly. We enjoyed our authentic experience in beautiful Nara! It is an older property and the wood bathroom had some mold issues. Perhaps it cannot be helped with the moisture. I would still stay there again.

Very close to Nara Park and Kinsetsu-Nara station. I would wake up with a nice view of the lake and the beautiful and friendly deers that stay next to the stairway. The staff was extremely helpful and thoughtful. Even with language barriers they would find ways to understand what was happening and how to assist. A/C was not responding as expected in my room. But I could open the window and get a fresh cold breeze in the morning to compensate (since in Tokyo and Kyoto windows were sealed shut).

We loved our stay. The hotel was extremely clean and very peaceful. Our room was very clean and spacious, with a beautiful view of the pond. When we arrived, Takada at reception welcomed us with a delicious yuzu tea with honey, which was such a thoughtful touch. The traditional Japanese breakfast was excellent and beautifully prepared. The staff were incredibly kind and kept offering us delicious matcha chocolates throughout our stay, which we really enjoyed. After check-out, they kindly kept our luggage so we could explore Nara. When we returned, Takada even offered to take photos of us by the lake outside the hotel. There are several deer around the area, which made the experience even more special. Honestly, nothing. Everything was wonderful and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive.

location was great, our beds were amazing, we enjoyed our room on 4th floor. the free mixed bath was very nice, the staff was really good. our bath floor was moldy

Breakfast is located in the Japanese Restaurant on ground floor, its a traditional Japanese breakfast and is very nice though they do not have a western option I would recommend thinking about taking breakfast inclusive if I were to return again. The guest rooms whilst they clean are very dated and require upgrading especially for the cost of the stay, this is not a complaint as we were comfortable but just an observation as there were a lack of power points at the bedside and my iPad is almost as large as the TV.
-
I really enjoyed my room which included a hinoki bath with a window facing the lake. They even brough the luggage straight to my room. The breakfast that was included was quite good and the staff was very friendly. They were very personable and definitely remembered parts of our conversation from the check-in and make the relationship feel very personal. Very little to critique but I did think the salmon for one of the breakfast was a little dry.

Great hosts, traditional Tatami room, nice public and private bath. Clear instructions and onboarding. Luggage storage. Amazing location. Very kind staff. Only thing is my room didn't have a shower- not a problem, I dont mind using the public baths / evening private spa. If you are averse to that though, (e.g. Nude in front of others) please double check if your room's bathroom only has toilet and sink, or if it also has a shower. For me this was not a problem! Others maybe so!

The best stay of our Kansai trip!!! Everything is beyond our expectation. Warm welcome drink upon checking in, japanese style breakfast experience, super caring & helpful staffs. They help me contact our previous hotel to find our forgotten wallet & without their help we couldn't get the wallet back for sure. None
