Hyatt Select Nashville/Opryland

The area for my stay was amazing and breakfast was sub par. Unfortunately, my bed was infested with bedbugs. The hotel did offer me another room, but my stay was ruined from that moment on. The staff didn’t comp my stay, because it was booked through a 3rd party.

Room was decent. Hotel was under renovations. Front desk attendant, Chad, was very helpful. Breakfast was not that great. Only basics. No real options for dairy free and gluten free.

Room was clean. Staff was very friendly. Elevator was hot and one was not working properly. But we had a great stay.

Beds were comfortable but bathroom was terribly small

His smile and how he greeted the customers staying at the hotel was the best. It is so nice to see someone with smile and caring about their job. I would stay there ever time I go to Nashville. Nice to see such great kindness and great service. We were meeting my daughter and granddaughter there and we all had a great time.

I was expecting more amenities … money wise in-my opinion too little for a high price

Remodeling

Nice pool, beautiful room that was very spacious and clean. Shower head and elevators definitely need improvement. Outdoor pool chairs burned if you sat on them because they are metal. Chad was our night person at the desk and he was amazing!!!!! The lady during the morning wasn’t available to us or others much. And higher ups were there and just let her sit and do nothing in the breakfast area. All in all a good experience.

Friendly staff, overall clean rooms. Shower area wasn’t the cleanest

Rooms were okay. I had mold on the ceiling of my first room. It was a musty gross smell. The pool wasn’t maintained, dead bugs and leaves all over the pool. Cracked tiles around the pool also. My first impression was it was nice but it slowly was shown to be not the nicest.

The room seemed spacey as it had a living room area. I would recommend staying here. The area we were in also had plenty of things nearby.

Area was nice, however room did not have microwave, some renovation occurring, bathrooms are VERY small, step up to shower a bit dangerous especially coming out of shower with one grab bar and slick shower, no ventilation in bathroom so after showering felt like you would suffocate in the bathroom, hard to close bathroom door when using toilet. However rooms were spacious except bathroom, staff super friendly! Would probably not go back to this Hyatt location as the Hyatt near airport was better.

They are updating the rooms and they are looking very beautiful. Clean rooms with lots of space. Breakfast was delicious and the pool was fun during the heat wave Nashville had while we were there. Overall very satisfied with the entire stay. Recommend if you are in the Nashville area.

Breakfast was very disappointing. Very limited options.

When we checked in, One of the first things we ask was about the pool. It was dirty green and they said it would be open the next morning. Well, it was still green and bottom of pool was dirty like it had not been vacuumed. The remainder of the weekend, the gate had a lock on it. We ask every morning about pool and got the same reason for the dirty pool. (Needed shock). Then when we were checking out, one of the clerks told us the pump had been broken all week. The main reason for my trip was to relax by the pool and that did not happen. I would have went to another motel that had a pool, if I had been informed of the problem.

On the positive side, my room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the water pressure was excellent. The breakfast was adequate, and the staff was friendly and helpful. My biggest issue was the advertised FREE shuttle service. The hotel website stated that the shuttle runs a small loop to Opryland Resort and the mall, and this was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel. However, I discovered that the shuttle does not operate on Sundays or Mondays. This information was not disclosed anywhere on the website when I booked. I specifically needed transportation to Opryland Resort on both Sunday and Monday, so the lack of shuttle service created a significant inconvenience and additional expense. If the shuttle schedule had been clearly disclosed on the website, I would have chosen a different hotel. Overall, the staff and room were good, but the ongoing remodel and, especially, the undisclosed shuttle restrictions made the stay much less convenient than expected.

The staff was very friendly. To be fair the property is under renovations. The pool was not ok to swim in. The elevators were being worked on. The shuttle was not running Friday. I’m sure it will be very nice when it’s finished.
