I really enjoyed the hot springs, the wine bar (3pm-6pm) and the opportunity to listen to jazz records on vinyl, the dinner, and the view. I found the room to be a bit cramped and wished the check out was at 11am rather than 10am… also, I was surprised at how strong the sulphuric smell was in the neighborhood— it was a bit off putting to me for spending time outdoors.

No indoor or undercover smoking area. The first staff member I met on reception was not so friendly. The rest were! Onsen doesn't allow tattoos!
