Hotel Guru Preet- New Delhi Railway Station

I have never experienced such blatant dishonesty in my travels. This property uses a predatory "bait-and-switch" tactic that every traveler needs to be aware of. They messaged me the morning of my arrival to confirm my check-in time, yet waited until the moment I was standing at the desk—after I had signed the paperwork—to hike the price by 1.5x. They were fully aware that I was traveling with my elderly parents after a long international flight and a grueling commute from the airport, leaving us with no realistic way to abandon the reservation and find a new hotel in our exhausted state. When I challenged the upcharge, they simply stated the "price increased," showing a complete lack of integrity. Beyond the fraudulent financial practices, the property itself is unacceptable. The location is incredibly filthy, overcrowded, and poorly maintained. To make matters worse, despite an hour on the phone with Booking.com customer service, the promised reimbursement for this overcharge has never arrived. Do not trust their quoted rates and stay clear of this place. It is not worth the stress or the lack of hygiene.

Location is exotic. They don't accept Visa credit card which is very annoying and inconvenient (the reservation says they would). Beds are so hard and uncomfortable. Bathroom can use an update. I should have checked the prices before the trip (I think my advance reservation was considerably overpriced). We were hoping to have the breakfast at the table and buffet style like most hotels, but that is not the case. Their breakfast is supposed to be room service which we didn't try. Overall not a good experience and not recommended.

Helpful staff. Good communication. Late check-in was no problem. Close to Delhi train station. Typical Paharganj hotel: no matter how you dress it up, it's still "lipstick on a pig." We requested a "quiet" room because we knew the traffic noise would be awful, and even though the room turned out to be farthest away from the busy main street, it was anything but quiet. The hallway outside our door echoed with noises from everybody coming and going at all hours of the night. We could hear loud plumbing noises from upstairs and adjacent rooms. Our room had no windows so it was very claustrophobic. The bathroom was one open room with no dividers for the shower, so everything got soaking wet when the shower was used. One night there was no hot water. The most egregious was that our room reeked of powerful disinfectant+perfume, very nauseating. I'm sure the room would have stunk like mold and mildew if it hadn't been for the perfume spray.

It is a new hotel,with spacious and clean rooms,clean bedsheet, and good location,just walking distance to the New Delhi railway station. Although it is in the heart of the market in Main Bazaar,the noise of the street don't reach the rooms,so it is quite.The gentlemen in the reception are polite and helpful and although we didn't try it,there is food served in the hotel. A good experience,we do recommend!

Very comfortable stay near new delhi railway station. Spent one night with family. Clean and well maintained property. Very courteous staff. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

Rooms exceeded expectations. They have a luxury vibe and are fairly new. Very comfy and clean. The bathroom was spotless and very modern (harder to find in India!) Location right in the bazaar is great for shoppers. Very limited breakfast options on the 'included breakfast' even though the menu has tonnes of options. You can pay extra for the good options but we were disappointed that choosing our own wasn't included. Also, no hot water in the bathroom made for a very chilly and unpleasant shower.

Hotel staff is good, but food is not good as per expectations, this is a newly built property excellently architecture, glad that I got a wonderful property even in this location
