Candlewood Suites New Iberia by IHG

The staff was wonderful.

Outside of learning upon arrival that the elevators were not working, the room had a funky smell. The bed pillows had some type of black residue and the tub wasn't clean. We had to purchase Lysol to disinfect and freshen the room. We were only there for one night to take care of a medical emergency with my mother-in-law and we really didn't have time to deal with this. Not to mention that my husband is a disabled VET and our room was on the 3rd floor with no working elevator. We also were awakened on Saturday morning by the morning desk person because he said that the system didn't show that anyone had checked into room 369. A quick trip with a not pleasant experience. We just needed a place to lay our heads, did anticipate any of this.

Left & went to Holiday Inn Express. Much cleaner facility.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful experience I had during my recent stay. The staff members were exceptionally friendly and consistently helpful throughout my visit. I was very impressed with the immaculate condition of both my room and the overall property. It was truly a pleasure to be in such a well-maintained and welcoming environment. Thank you for providing such a delightful accommodation.

The bed mattresses are very hard the bathroom water pressure is not high and the water does not get really hot

Room smelled of mold, all rugs in the corridors stained and old, none of the elevators worked, shower was terrible

The convenient location. The staff is very friendly . Room smell like mildew. Elevator broken. Bathroom filthy and a roach infestation in room 129

Everything it said they had wasn’t there it said there was a pool and it was closed for construction they said there was complaintary breakfast and there wasn’t the 2 nd floor had a bad odor and roaches

Exceptional

Once we got into the room, there was a strong unpleasant odor, so we requested to be moved. The second room didn’t leave a much better impression. It didn’t appear to be thoroughly cleaned or well maintained. The bed was small and creaked so much it felt like it might break. We also had to call a 1-800 support number just to get the TV connected to the internet, which was very inconvenient. On top of that, the shower had poor water pressure, and the hot water was inconsistent. Overall, this was not a good experience, and I expected much better. With proper maintenance, cleanliness, and a few updates, this hotel could provide a much more enjoyable stay.

Everything was great!

It was very clean,the bed was extremely comfortable and the desk clerk were so nice! The room had a horrible smell like old wood but I sprayed it down with air freshener.

Felt very unclean. Carpet was definitely not vacuumed before we entered our room. Microwave was broken

The room was not clean. The second floor smelled awful. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was a very slow stream.
