The place is really run down, but the room and bathroom were clean. The property is located in two different locations that are across the street and down the block from each other. It makes unloading and loading luggage a slight inconvenience if you’re not staying in the same location as paid parking. That said, parking is gated and secure, but you must reserve ahead of time because it is very limited. Staff was very friendly, patient, and helpful. I really wanted to swim but didn’t end up using the pool because it was located at the other building and I didn’t want to walk up and back down Esplanade Street in a swimsuit and towel.

This was Amazing! Our first room upstairs was great, but the toilet was flushing slow, so the next day she moved us downstairs and it was perfect. This is a 1800's mansion with tons of character. The pool and HOT tub were great. Everything was super clean! I just wished it was a little closer to Bourbon Street. we walked it the first night and I was Tuckered out. but we drove to everything else. You can park there, but we parked on the street for free and there was always parking. I definitely recommend this place.!

Older building but we'll maintained. Walk to heart of bourbon/frenchman Street not long (15min). Quiet evenings. Staff was nice and helpful.

If you want old, quaint, stylish hotel, Rathbone Mansions might be a good option for you. We liked the antique flair and location, but did not like the fact we reserved a superior king room and it looked nothing like the photos on Expedia. Our room was across the street from the main building (hence, "Mansions"), and it was very sub-par, especially for what we paid and we assumed we were getting. At least the bed was comfortable and the shower hot. The pool area is small and crowded with people smoking IN the pool despite signs stating no smoking allowed in the pool area. Also, we were awakened at 12:30a-1:00a by a large group of very drunk women who were staying in our "mansion", yelling across the 3 floors and carrying on like they were the only ones there for quite a while. It is New Orleans, after all, and I guess to be expected being so close to the Quarter...When I went to check out Sunday morning, the door for the main building was locked from the inside, but the clerk acted like it was my fault for bothering her. She did not even ask "how was your stay", nothing. Luckily, we were able to find parking on the street close by. You have to "reserve" parking inside the hotel fence by calling ahead, I guess. This hotel has so much potential, but we won't be back to see if they attain it.

Lots of amazing detail in every part of the space. The person at the desk was very helpful. Hope to stay again soon.

The Mansion is in close proximity to the local attractions. It was clean and very comfortable. My wife and I took advantage of the transit system which had several stops close by, including the trolley. We'll be booking here again. I highly recommend.

Cheap, convenient, and historic. I hate to leave a review. I was able to find street parking here which is amazing!
-
Great spot on a main road, close enough to both sides of the city to walk or uber quickly!

The location, and the aesthetics Maybe needed a few more things in the communal room in the morning with coffee.

Such a wonderful find!!! This hotel is made up of two mansions on Esplanade Ave. between the French Quarter and Frenchman St. The rooms are well appointed and cozy. The pool and hot tub (even in the summer) was absolutely amazing after a long day walking around the town. This is our new favorite place to stay in the city we love.
-
Lovely place. Clean and comfy. Kind of awkward that the pool and hot tub we were supposed to use were at another hotel location. Just a few houses down. But still not convenient. Also hot tub was just hot, no jets 😳

Clean and well maintained. Nothing

Very comfortable, private and peaceful. Very kind staff, nice pool and hot tub. The pool towels were a little small but it was really warm out.

From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the charm and character of the property. The staff were incredibly sweet and accommodating, and they made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. We stayed in the balcony room, and it was spectacular. It was surprisingly quiet, and the room itself was stunning. The "balcony door" was actually one large window that you pull up to open, which only added to the unique charm of the mansion. The bathroom was fully remodeled and absolutely beautiful. We also really enjoyed the pool area. It was relaxing and had the same charming, historic feel as the rest of the property. The only thing I'd mention is that it's a bit of a walk to the French Quarter. We're probably slower walkers, but it took us about 15–20 minutes to get to most places, so we ended up using Uber quite a bit. That said, it wasn't a dealbreaker at all. Overall, Rathbone Mansions was the perfect place to celebrate my 30th birthday, and we will absolutely be back!

Quiet neighborhood They need to upgrade electronics and bathrooms need shower mats, spray for gnats and spiders and complimentary water in the rooms as well as continental breakfast. On the third floor, need caution signs to watch your head on the staircase.

Absolutely everything was great. Friendly, welcoming service and incredible attention to detail. The room was cozy and had everything one could need. The location is absolutely perfect. Nothing
