The room was spacious with sea view. Breakfast was exceptional good. A little hard to find

It was really nice and clean and great to have a bathtub. The location was impossible to find . I would have never found it on my own. You cannot get here by taxi or car. Also, you cannot only pay cash and the breakfast is only Japanese food.

Wonderful mountain top homestay My high level room had a big deck facing the harbor Sunrise was amazing as well as night views ! Suggest staying 2 nights here Breakfast was included it was a traditional Japanese style Whole fish/ soup/ egg omlete squares/ rice/ daikon/seaweed & tea Owners are lovely I've stayed in authentic Japanese homes prior. Bed is very hard. Your room will have multiple levels between entry door and bed platforn & on back door side too. .IF you love authentic cultural spaces, book now. Due to location in a lane you must walk a couple of blocks from last vehicle point via seceral sets of stairs. Home and breakfast have many many stairs to navigate. Its all part of high hillside living & capitolizing on the views.

It was a little challenge to find this hotel and the thin layer of mattress on the solid wooden bed is a little too hard to sleep

Sea view is fantastic! No parking lot! But you can easily find a place to park near the stay! If you have many luggages, it will not be convenient to carry!

The owner was very kind enough to pick us up at the meeting point near the hotel. The room was just like a typical Japanese bnb, so you can feel being in Japan while visiting Taiwan!! The view from the balcony was very nice. The facility in the room is also good enough. The breakfast was superb!! If the toilet has a shower toilet function, it is better.

Clean comfortable Japanese style room. Great view and very nice Japanese breakfast with grilled fish. Lady owner was very friendly and helpful. Lots of climbing to get to the property but again this is what makes Jiufun special. Just store your luggage at the train station.

Everything. The room is spacious and toilet is spacious. You feel like you’re in Japan without being in Japan. The view from the restaurant is stunning. The Japanese breakfast is delicious and I regret that we only stayed for one night. Of course it is hard to find the place, regardless where you stay on the mountain you will get lost as it is just like Venice but on the mountain. But the owner/B&B staff was kind and helpful enough to come up to the top to get us. My tips is not to bring too many luggages. Just bring what you need as it could be difficult to walk down and up the stairs. None. Everything is too perfect.

The charming rustic deco and location. Friendly helpful staff. Substantial Japanese breakfast at a location with a view. Clean, comfortable room with amenities. They only accept cash. Lot of steps up the room and up to the breakfast area; also, cars cannot drop you off at the front door due to road accessibility issues - if you are very fit and mobile without big luggage, that should not be a big issue.
