- countryside vibes but the home/room was very clean and spacious - delicious breakfast! - owners were nice if you’re trying to save money by not riding the taxi from the train station, it’s a long and tiring walk to the top. Can be inconvenient if you have huge luggages.

The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast was amazing with a beautiful view! If you're staying in jioufen at all, this is the place to be It was very hot that week in jioufen, and the air conditioner in my room was weak. The one in the lobby area worked well though.

I loved the tranquility of the location. It's quiet but still convenient. The boss is super friendly and will take great care of you during your stay! Run away from the fast paced world and take a break in jiufen at A home! Firm asain style beds, beware if you are a softey hahah, personally I loved it.

This was an wonderful place to stay. To start with the hospitality from the host was beyond amazing. She was very nice and took great care to ensure we felt welcomed upon our arrival and during our entire stay. A Home is a great name for this location beacuse that is exactly what it is. It is a home away from home. We spent 9 day traveling all over Taiwan staying in a new location almost every night and this was the most amazing place we stayed. It was the best lodging we had. It was the nicest, most comfortable, and cleanest place we stayed in. The location had the best food, markets, scenery, and there is a lot to do. If you are going to stay here please dont make the same mistake we made and only stay one night. To truly experience this location and enjoy the amazing experience that only A Home has to offer stay at least two nights.

Fantastic stay at this little bnb! The owners are exceptionally kind and made me feel very welcome. I got to Jiufen earlier than expected and they were fine with me checking in early. The room was ready and it didnt appear that I had any neighbors in the adjacent rooms. Personal touches are visible all throughout the property. Breakfast was delicious and has a gorgeous view from the balcony. The owners cats are an added bonus to the whole experience. I got to chat with the owners and they were very nice. The bed i slept on was on the firm side but that didn't bother me. However there was glass tiling along the wall that let in light while I was trying to sleep.not a big deal since I was so tired that I fell asleep pretty quickly, but something to note if youre sensitive to the light while trying to sleep.

We had 2 lovely nights at this accommodation and we loved it. Such kind and warm hosts. The breakfast is delicious and the traditional houses are beautiful. Highly recommended.

Clean, incredibly nice couple that owns it. Breakfast was delicious and the 3 cats that live their were super friendly and clean. Bed was a bit harder then im used to but thats just strictly personal opinion my partner enjoyed the bed.

It’s very close to Olde street and Family mart. Also the bus stop is just outside the hotel The blanket was a bit thin for winter. One bed had a bed warmer and the other one didn’t. Maybe ask for a extra if it’s a cold day

Absolutely love the space which is fulll of culture, stories and love. Very friendly hosts. Beautiful view over the sea and the mountains. The bathroom is a bit damp and could be a bit smelly. But everything works and it is still quite cosy.

Excellent location in Jiufen. Very friendly gentleman is the host and they run a main B&B type home plus an external cottage across the street. We rented the cottage, which is rustic but charming and has a nice front patio overlooking the town and with a view to the ocean. Very close to the main areas of Jiufen such as the famous tea house. Beds are a bit hard, but we are pretty adaptable so it didn't bother us too much.

The place was spacious and very clean. And more importantly, it really feels like home. The people are very accommodating and polite. Jiufen was a dream destination for us and A Home made our stay in Jiufen comfortable and memorable as well.

It’s a beautiful house with beautiful view. The breakfast is amazing and the host is super friendly and helpful. Thank you guys so much.

It is so homey and the owner is so nice and helpful. Breakfast was good … plus the view from the terrace was beautiful. We had to climb up stairs to reach the property. It was not fun climbing up the stairs while carrying your luggage. Make sure you read the directions given by the owner because the route is shorter and easier. Don’t follow google’s directions unless you want to walk around 3.5 km all the way from the police station and it is stairs all the way.

This is our favorite place to stay during the trip in Taiwan. The best view to enjoy breakfast, perfect location with a quiet environment for sleeping but simply 5-8 min walking time to Jiufen Old Street. Staff 碧儿 is a very kind girl and gave us lots of helpful Tipps. The owner couple prepared a pretty lovely breakfast for us. We enjoyed the time at A-Home and will come back again next time!
