Collective Retreats Governors Island

I think the experience would have been better if the staff had informed guests in advance that construction work was taking place, especially during the early morning hours. Knowing this beforehand would have allowed me to set my expectations accordingly. Overall, I think the location has a lot of potential, but the lack of sleep and unexpected construction noise significantly affected my stay.

What a simply magical New York experience. The staff are amazing and clearly love their jobs and make every guest feel that way. We are New Yorkers and this was just a summer escape from the routine and it was addicting. Thank you.

Fantastic experience. Staff is nice and helpful but seem a bit haphazard or untrained? Any way mostly all great just seemed a little bit unsupervised or something. Overall lovely

The view and ease of getting checked in. The mini house was better than expected. It had everything we needed. The tent smelled like mildew and seemed a bit dirty.

Had a great time! The staff is super friendly and helpful.

In a word, PERFECT!

Alton and Joshua. and how could we forget the maintenance guys and the Housekeeper just an amazing experience the only thing make sure you come with your own little night snack snacks what they offer is not worth seven dollars that’s my only thing and give us some bug spray, LOL but I would have to say my 48th birthday was amazing. They made it so special and I left with a little goodie bag. I so love this place literally on Governors Island. OH, AND THE RESTAURANT THE FOOD IS LITERALLY COOKED IN FRONT OF YOU FRESH AND THEY ALL WORK AS A TEAM TO MAKE EVERYTHING GO SO SMOOTH SO PLEASANT WHILE YOU ENJOY THE BEAUTIFUL SCENERY

Unique experience, worth doing once just for the view and to see the island at night after the crowds leave. There was some difficulty with logistics at check in. There are rats by the fire pits at night but that’s NYC for you. Our tent was clean with a great bed and air conditioner.

Our bathroom didn’t have running water but they quickly upgraded us, which was very nice.

This was a beautiful peaceful stay. I recommended this place to a few people do to how peaceful it was. I loved it soo much. The staff were extremely helphful
