The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was huge, tons of closets, amazing vibe, incredibly high ceilings, spotless and tastefully decorated. The location is very walkable and I would recommend staying here without reservation.

Very comfortable and great location close to downtown restaurants, shops and parks.

Beautiful design and perfect location for me The location of my room. I discovered that being on the 2nd floor and having someone above is not good. There is no insulation/sound proofing. The guest above me was extremely loud and it was throughout the night and early morning.

The staff was always friendly and willing to help nothing

The design This time even though we paid for junior suite, they gave us a various small room on the basement next to the laundry room. When I complain, that’s not a junior suite they said that’s the only thing they have.

Friendly and helpful staff, spacious rooms, and good facilities. Breakfast is very basic, the subway station is about 15min walk.

Very nice hotel in Greenpoint. Large rooms, very unusual for NYC, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, located in a residential area. Many places to eat nearby; parking on street, may be difficult to find and maneuver around the street cleaning schedule but is doable (and depending on the length of stay it might not be an issue). A few blocks away from the subway station but again, very doable. All in all a very nice place, will definitely use it again for future trips to Brooklyn.

Pleasant, comfortable The noise!! Every morning at 4:30 am, trucks backing up, making loud beeping noises. No sleep here at this place!

I like staying on the main floor I requested the main floor when booking and when I checked in, I got a room on the main floor everything was great

The interactions I had with the majority of a staff were pleasant and they were helpful when I wanted to move room. This is the only 4-star hotel I have stayed at where there it seems like you are bothering the staff to ask for help with luggage or even when they offer. After a long flight behind you or ahead this is not what you are looking for in a hotel. One staff member spoke to me like a child and not a paying customer when I went to get my own luggage from the luggage storage (which by the way is unlocked and unsafe for everyone storing their luggage in there) - his tone was so unpleasant that another staff member had to come in to check him. About an hour before he hadn’t come up/sent someone up to help me with my luggage when asked and by this point was tired of waiting for someone who clearly had not wanted to help hours before. If the staff behind the desk do not want to help with luggage for the price they are charging, The Henry Norman Hotel need to hire other help or doormen as I’ve experienced at other hotels. I’m tired of these experiences travelling solo as a young Black woman - when I know for a fact the employee in question would never speak to an older/white/seemingly wealthy or someone traditionally associated with status in the same way. He would have merely told them to sit down while he got their luggage for them. I’ve tried to contact the hotel on multiple occasions about this incident and haven’t heard back so now I’m now posting it here.
