Location was great, staff was helpful and very pleasant.

Stephanie was excellent in helping us with catching the subway. Hotel was clean, and breakfast was good.

It's very nice. Just know that part of town is sad and rough.

Opera hotel is definitely a hidden gem in the heart of the south bronx. Close to all transportation, shopping and food. The hotel staff and accommodations were wonderful. They have limited parking and a smoking area outside with a cute bench to relax on. They have some of the best coffee offered 24/7. Spoiler alert: Don't be alarmed by the locals (homeless, addicts, unemployed and street vendors) that hang out in the area, they never bothered us and we went in and out all times of the day and night without any issues. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the city and want to see more than the tourist spots. This location gives the real ny experience.

The staff was very nice and accommodating.

This was a beautiful hotel. Very comfortable, spacious & staff were helpful & courteous. One block from train. Not it a great area, but the hotel itself was incredible.

Breakfast was a bit repetitive after 6 nights.

Hotel inside was awesome the neighborhood it's in wasnt great but what you should expect staying in south bronx. Parking is not great unless you find the few parking spots they have in the back of the hotel. I was with my mom which she has a handicap ♿️ and there was one spot left. Besides that staff were helpful and nice ! Would come back if I visit NYC

The hotel is recently remodeled and they’ve done a good job of making it comfortable. The staff was friendly, though it took us a couple calls to get shampoo and soap for our room. The hotel area is not a touristy area, and we didn’t go out at night but we didn’t feel unsafe at any point.

The street this building sits on is unbelievable. I’m so happy I wasn’t alone in this area. A lot of money per night to be in the middle of zombiland!

Really nice hotel and staff

EXCELLENT hotel with real KING beds. Yes, the short walk to the subway station is...colorful, but not dangerous or threatening. Me and my wife came back from Manhattan by subway 6 nights in a row around 2 am without any problems. If you're affraid of your shadow, you can take a uber, but you will be missing out the feel of the city. Again, the hotel was PERFECT !

Şikayet diliyle doğal ve profesyonel bir İngilizce çeviri: During check-in, we were asked to pay an additional deposit fee. However, there was no information on Booking.com indicating that such a deposit would be required. We informed the reception staff that, according to the booking details, no extra charges should be requested from us. Unfortunately, the receptionist told us that if we did not pay the deposit, we would not be allowed to stay at the hotel, and even suggested that the situation was our fault. As someone who travels frequently and has stayed in many hotels, I found this attitude highly unprofessional and disappointing. In order to avoid further issues and be able to stay at the hotel, I paid the requested deposit. However, the deposit has still not been refunded to me. I would like to file a formal complaint regarding both the misleading information about the deposit requirement and the inappropriate behavior of the reception staff. I would appreciate a prompt resolution of this matter and the return of my deposit as soon as possible.

Clean room

I was treated nicely and respectfully soon as I walked in. My booking was ready to go without any hassle either. They even took the time to explain the breakfast and parking situations. The room was clean and very comfortable, loved the bathroom presentation and living spaces. TVs came with different apps for you to plug your account in if need be. Beds clean and proper etc etc. I really have no complaints. Nothing. Property was very nice

I come to New York around this time annually to go to the Hip Hop Ed Conference. I choose to stay at Opera House instead of a closer hotel because of the beauty of the hotel and how nice the staff is. Zue is usually who I'm greeted by year after year and she is kind and knowledgeable. Give that lady a raise! I'll be back next year!
