The hostel was comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and I felt welcomed during my stay. I also liked being close to Queens Plaza, restaurants, stores, and public transportation. For anyone looking for an affordable place to stay while visiting New York City, especially if you plan to spend most of your time exploring the city, Q4 is a great option. I would definitely consider staying here again on another trip to New York.

Free overnight street car parking until 9 am. Noisy close to Manhattan bridge MTA trains bang track noise non stop but they give ear plugs free.

Clean. Tidy. Upgraded shower stalls which were nice. I requested a bottom bunk nearly 3 weeks in advance and did not get it. I also requested a room on the check in level because of my back and the no lift situation. Didn’t get that either. I’ve been staying at this location for several years, you would think some requests would be fulfilled. Bathroom sliding door was a workout. Something needs to be done about that. Other than that has a good stay.

I appreciated the access to trains and bus lines. There were numerous restaurants and shops. On the one full day that I was there, I didn't leave until noon. The cleaners were there before noon. It was awkward and felt pushed out before being prepared for my going out.
