The king bed, pillow and bedding are fantastic

Our new favourite for Manhattan. Checking in was easy and Brandon was so helpful in explaining the amenities and local shops. The rooms were top shelf for space and it is nice to have a fridge. A private balcony and the shared balcony were perfect for unwinding your day. Close to everything. So many stores (food, wine) pretty much anything you are looking for. Staff were always super friendly.

Another hour later, and past midnight, we called the front desk. A male answered the phone with a surly attitude; we told him there has been an alarm going off outside of our room for hours. He said,” I know about the alarm. Do you want some earbuds?” We then started to tell him that his attitude and tone were inappropriate WHEN HE HUNG UP ON US.

The mattress was old and you can feel the springs. The generator was really loud. The walls thin.

Great hotel, fantastic location.. a little bit noisy due to construction nearby but excellent hotel.

When we checked in the room, it was a let down & it was not the Deluxe room i imagined. Patio was tiny with really old & dusty patio chairs that had been there, along with cigarette butts in the corner. there’s nothing to see but walls. The receptionist kept mentioning that because we booked through Expedia this is what we get. i asked for a room change politely but all I hear is Expedia customers should be grateful as we pay less & their rooms costs $800/ night so we get what we paid for -the basic room. She told me that we can upgrade for more fees which by the way I didnt realize while booking that there was an Up charge of daily fees on top of my final cost.I got a call the next day for an offer to change rooms but it was really late in the afternoon so I didnt call back. The previous reviews said staff were friendly but they’re a bit aloof. I didnt feel welcomed to stay there. The vibe is a bit stiff. At least the cleaning staff excellent. The 2 ladies spoke to us & checked our needs.

A delightful boutique hotel, steps away from Grand Central and 5th Avenue. Quiet, clean, and spacious. Staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant downstairs is quite good. Would definitely stay there again. A welcome respite from the behemoth chain hotels.

Great stay! Great views! Great staff!

The Gotham Hotel is an exceptional upscale facility with knowledgeable staff about the surrounding area. The hotel is in an optimal location for shopping, dining and entertainment. We were within walking distance of Bryant Park, Rockefeller Center and the hub of Broadway shows. I highly recommend The Gotham Hotel for a memorable stay.

Location was great. The staff was super friendly. The room was a good size for a New York hotel and they had plenty of bottled water, which was great during the heat wave.
-
Good size room, balcony doesn’t really have a few. Staff very helpful and nice! Clean rooms
-
Clean. Large rooms. Private balcony. A little worn, but otherwise clean!
-
Room was much larger than a typical NYC hotel room. Elevator was fast! Front desk staff members (Brandon was so nice!) were extremely friendly and helpful. Location was close to St. Patrick’s, Rockefeller, and flagship stores (NBA, Hoka, etc.). Central Park was a 15-minute walk. Overall I would definitely stay here again.
