Really wanted to love this boutique hotel as we have stayed at many in manhattan. The king sized upgrade room was tiny which we are used to at other places. stayed with my husband and literally had to crawl over him in the bed as it was built in to the corner. Maybe it's better if you stay as a single person. There are no ice buckets and machines on the floor and waited almost an hour for ice to be delivered. our tv remote volume did not work. the hair dryer was broke. We paid in advance for 2 nights but checked out after 1 night and were denied a refund. I sincerely don't like leaving bad reviews but was disappointed

Loved the cleaning staff. They were kind and accommodating of our irregular times of being in and out of the room. The breakfast and coffee were excellent.

Excellent location. Close to many Subway lines. Great access to Little Italy, Chinatown and walking places. Room was good for myself and my daughter sharing. Not a huge space, but certainly big enough for us. Good coffee place on first floor. Did not try restaurant, but it looked good. Would certainly stay here again. Roof terrace a bonus for a drink in evenings. Staff very friendly and kind. The nearby Canal Street wasn't especially attractive as many sellers of cheap/fake goods, but certainly nothing to worry about as can avoid easily. Shame breakfast not included in room rate (ours wasn't at least). Left bags at reception on first and last days. Would have been nice to get into room a bit earlier, but rules is rules!

Okay location. Rooms were too small, but a manger did upgrade us to a bit larger room after our mid-stay review was read.

Rooms are very small but cozy. It's a full new york experience. Barely room for two people to stand but why stay in the room when you have the whole city? Everything was too notch and has a coffee shop and a jazz speakeasy downstairs.

Cool hotel, great coffee shops and restaurants. Compact but comfortable rooms

Fire alarm went off because kitchen staff burned stuff. While walking down 6 flights of stairs (both going up and down) stairs were blocked by kitchen workers holding huge trays or just sitting on the stairs looking at their phones. During fire alarm there was no staff in the lobby organizing or instructing guests. Shades in minuscule rooms were totally inadequate and everyone in our group woke up early because of the sun glare. After taxes and fees I spent close to 2K for two rooms for two nights. Walker Hotels - never again.

One suggestion would be at night to have key access to the hotel or security at the door, anyone can walk in. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed here because I wanted to be near Tribeca. This hotel is trying hard. The staff were good. Internal restaurant and cafe good, nice lobby area with couches which is well used by guests and nice vibe. Close to subway / easy access uptown. While it's near lovely Tribeca, the location is a problem so close to Canal st. Lots of hawkers on the street to fight through daily and generally scuzzy block and felt a bit unsafe later at night, sad and confronting to navigate homeless people lying on the street. Rooms are basic no fridge, kettle etc. so avoid for longer stays. So while the hotel itself is well run and good inside, this made me question my hotel choice for a week long stay.

The room was very nice and so was the atmosphere of the whole hotel. We got a a $15 daily credit and a free bottle of wine for booking through Expedia. The staff were so nice and friendly. The rooms next to us were both having very loud construction happening all days we were there. with almost constant banging on the walls until about 7pm. The front desk gave us 50% off one night which was nice but I wish they would have notified us before we unpacked everything. We didn’t try the restaurant but the rooftop was great with good drinks and great views. The workers at blue bottle cafe were rude. Not sure if they were part of the hotel or not. Overall 7.5/10 would stay again to give another shot.

Brilliant location for downtown financial district and walking to West Village even, just off Broadway and Canal with Subway outside the door. Beds were super comfy and even though the room is tight it's very well designed to conceal ones suitcases with massive storage under the bed. Gym was pathetic.
